NOVI PAZAR -- Ten young men donning long beards, short pants and white hats broke up a concert of the Balkanika orchestra.
The hooligans were dressed like members of the vehabit movement. They climbed up onto the stage and threw around the instruments that were set up for the musicians to play. One of the young men toko the microphone and told those attending the concert: “Brothers, go home, they are working against Islam here. This is Satan’s work.”
He then threw the microphone, which was damaged, as were the speakers, mixing board and some of the lighting.
Four police officers were present at the concert in Novi Pazar and used force to get the youths off of the stage and stop them from coming back. The concert was organised by the Novi Pazar municipality and the Serbia Culture and Sport Ministry.
About a half hour later, a group of about 50 Novi Pazar football supporters, upset over the team’s loss to Mladosti from Apatin, started throwing stones at the stage where the concert was supposed to be held. Earlier, the game was stopped for an hour after the Novi Pazar fans hit referee Nikola Maljković in the head with a rock.
The police have yet to comment on the two incidents, though further public concerts in the region will probably all be cancelled.
The vehabit is a radical Islamic group founded in Saudi Arabia. It is hard to give an estimate on how many supporters the group has in the Sandžak area, but what is sure is that the numbers have increased greatly in recent years.
Sanjak/Rashka is 50% Muslim infested region devided in half between Serbia and Montenegro. Many of Bosnian warcriminals came from Sanjak, as same as one terror suspect now on trial in Bosnia.
Couldn't the organizers have booked "Jinn and Deen" to mollify the mullahs?
Because the U.S. would bomb them.
There can be no peace with islam.
The author repeats himself -- the terms are redundent.
Hoplite's Heroes!
Weren't they mostly students, and wasn't university education almost or totally free for them under Milosevic's rule? I believe I've read that in the few years since his ouster they've started charging the students or have been charging them much more. Is that true? If so, it sounds like they didn't know how good they had it.
Oh, you are so right!
That is a fault of Milosevic and leftists:
Give them all education feed the, cloth them, let them ruin the country!
In serbia, students organised in OTPOR hade FREE education, Law School student year costed 1,200 Dinars (40$ back than), one month sallery! Any young man and girl could get academic education, including living in a dorm. And for students that achived highest scores on admission tests, no scholarsip at all, totally free, not a cent!
And they wanted to change that.
And they did.
Now, a year of law school costs 800$, on architect academy, 12,000$.
Oh, yes, one of the leaders of "Studend upriing" against Milosevic is Cedomir Jovanovic, nowdays Liberal-Democrat Party leader, supporter of gay right, critic of Church and all-in-all bastard.
Just for arguments sake, average salley in Serbia is 200$ per month.
Josys of Soros-fluffers run economy and state.
Feels like living in Moscow in 1936 under Stalin.
At least Stallin didn`t sold out his country. This ones do.
I agree. The U.S. took the wrong side in the Bosnian and Kosovo wars during Bill Clinton's administration. Our current president believes Islam is a beautiful religion of peace, and may pursue the same policy as his predecessor against the Serbs.
We suspect that YOU are NEVER on the level!!
story on the level.....Islamic fundamentalist have one of two characterics or both, but, one for sure. The pants legs are abnormally short. This indicates a Fundamentalist in Islam. I know this from working around them in both Saudi Arabia and Kosovo since 1996 to date.
This is what tells me it's on the level. In addition, the appearance of Muh. groups linked with Al Qaeda is increasing just in Kosovo alone. Bosnia is basically a safe Haven and planning area for the Islamic groups to further attacks on western targets as well as Balkan targets on christians and internationals.......that are working there. I've been following this since 1999, up close and personal.
%$#@! 'Toon!
Just on TV, "Police arrested Fuad Hodzic, one of young wehabbi that was involved in attack, andpressed charges"
what will outcome be?
1. 30 days in jail
2. Suspended due to (possible) fact that he was not previously convicted
3. naughty youngster, go do your room.
4... whatever
I'm afraid that we are one half there.....more of the story will unfold I'm afraid along with and following independence whether they get it or not......here we go.
