Raid officers learned about Muslim traditions [Canuck PC Runs Amuck]
Globe and Mail ^ | June 6, 2006 | Colin Freeze

Before the raids came the sensitivity training: Tactical-squad Mounties learned how to properly handle Korans prior to arresting 17 terrorism suspects on the weekend.

And that's not all. The RCMP also made sure there were clean prayer mats on hand for their suspects when they were sent to jail cells.

Then, after everything wrapped up, authorities met with a number of Muslim leaders to impress upon them that officers were going after specific individuals, not the community as a whole.

"Our officers need to be respectful," said RCMP spokeswoman Corporal Michele Paradis.

Tear. Wipe. Flush.

FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel/Russian Jewry ping list.

Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.

What did they think of the tradition of abusing their women?

This is absolutely sickening. When will the world wake up to realize that the enemy is adherants to the philosophy of ISLAM, not some set of misguided individuals.

I can't imagine they served them a roast pork dinner? /sarc

Probably not as that might be [mis]construed as torture

Nah, there's method in this madness. If the RCMP pays close attention to these little details then they will have less heartache later when prosecuting these cases. Fewer grounds for appeal. I think they are smart to do it.

These people have lost their minds. If they weren't right next door I'd tell them just surrender already, they are making even the French sick.

My religion requires I have steak and eggs in the morning and a good porterhpuse at night.

Why do the Canadian cops have to kiss the asses of criminals who would kill them if they got half a chance.

This crap has gone far enough. They should be treated like any other criminal. Thrown in the bakc of a Paddy wagon driven aroumnd hair pin turns at 95 and then thrown in a dirty cell with a crap hole in the floor so their ass faces macca.

If it involves dipping them in pigs blood before burning them, then the Canadians know how to properly handle them.

So, if I get locked up in Canada, will they be mindful of Catholic needs?

WOW, am I confused. How do Korans come into play? This had nothing to do with Islam. Just some "youths" playing Dungeons and Jihad and Infidels and Beheadings. And the winner would get a whole s**tload of fertilizer.

Damn...my thoughts exactly. The Koran is also suitable for burning, cleaning bathrooms and wiping the stove down after cooking the morning's bacon.

Thanks. At least someone got it.

If you heard the lawyers whining today about everything from armed guards being present to the the allegations against one prisoner only being 8 pages long , everyone would get it. The less excuses the lawyers have to play with the easier this will be.

Most common phrase I'm hearing is "They should be shot". Second phrase is "forget the trial"

Are we talking about the terrorists or their lawyers?
