I'd kinda like to know where Billbray stands on other very important issues.

Life?
Taxation?
Preservation of the family?
Freedom of political speech?
Religious liberty?
Freedom to keep and bear arms?
Property rights?
Judicial supremecy?
Spending?

You're welcome. I just checked the results site. 66% of precincts reporting and still a 5% lead for Bilbray. I think it's time to bring the fat lady out on stage. Except I am going to bed. I can't wait to hear Rush's commentary about this tommorrow

It's always possible that a person does not realize just how bad the problem is, too. The Hispanic demonstrations changed a lot of folks minds about just how great were the threat of illegal aliens.

In honesty, I must count myself in that number, to an extent. I realized there was a problem in 1998, but didn't demand anything be done about it!

I'd kinda like to know where Billbray stands on other very important issues.

Ideally, I would like him to be on the right side of those issues. However, does it really matter when your only other choice is someone who believes you don't need papers to vote?

Bit late in the day for that isn't it?
You usually ask for a candidate's stand on the issues after the elections?

Great win for the strongly anti amnesty for illegal immigrants Billbray.
Congrats to him.

Nope.
Only one candidate to cote for here, Billbray.

She also wants to raise taxes to reduce the deficit, she wouldn't comment on making the tax cuts permanent, etc.

"She [Nancy Pelosi] said we've already won the campaign, now we need to win the election," Busby said. link

How is sticking one's foot in one's mouth considered winning a campaign?

California Conservative is blogging it.  PROPOSITIONS
Both Prop 81 and 82 are NOT PASSING

Record low turnout expected.

Two big government initiatives on the ballot: universal preschool and a library bond.

Watch that CA-50 special election. Will Francine "You don't need no stinkin' papers" Busby pull it off?  (via AP) Republican leads in bellwether House race

good ABC early morning recap of the most interesting races from yesterday, though I think Francine has now moved up to 45%.

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=2047759

"....With 68 percent of precincts reporting, Republican Brian Bilbray was ahead with 45,528 votes, or 49.7 percent, to Democrat Francine Busby's 41,198 votes, or 44.9 percent, in the special election to replace Randy "Duke" Cunningham, who was convicted of corruption charges.

Elsewhere, Alabama Gov. Bob Riley easily beat back a GOP primary challenge from Ten Commandments judge Roy Moore,

A few races brought back some familiar names:

Jerry Brown the former California governor, presidential candidate and current Oakland mayor won the Democratic primary for attorney general.

George C. Wallace Jr., son of the former Alabama governor, trailed in the GOP primary for lieutenant governor to attorney Luther Strange but the race goes to a runoff because no one got 50 percent.

Hollywood director Rob Reiner was the leading backer of a measure in California to create a $2.4 billion universal preschool program, which went down to defeat by a 60-to-40-percent margin."

With 68 percent of precincts reporting...

Even ABC can't check a website? Over 90% have reported. See my post above.

That 68% number is way off.

90+% have reported and Bilbray has won.
