What's that old saying? "Too stupid to come in out of the rain?"
You read about as carefully as an earlier poster on this thread.
You over estimate the need to put too much attention into your comments.
It's easy to see why you always seem to get it wrong.
Of course, I'd never wear a black felt hat in the desert sun and I would never support reparations...how much more wrong can one person be?
I'm proud to be able to support such a fine ticket in Arizona. Don Goldwater, Jon Kyl, and Randy Graf. Gonna be a fun primary to vote in and I hope all the Rino's split the vote allowing Randy to get the nomination for Kolbe's seat.
Trent Lott looked like a fool when he showed up at Bush's ranch in the summer of 2001 wearing a western hat with a wide band and a friggin' feather in it! Feathers were in style in the early 80s, which is probably the last time Lott put that hat on his head.
Felt hats are hot, which is why God made straw hats, for summer.
The other common mistake slickers make is wearing boots with their regular jeans. Usually, the jeans aren't made for boots, or they're too short for boots with heels. They scream "dork."
This is the way a black cowboy dresses in the summer: (Fred Whitfield, PRCA champion calf-roper, seven times):
For white guys, you can't go wrong taking tips from George Strait:
To think, all this time and we didn't know you were Mr. Blackwell...
Or how about that favorite line of some, Jobs Americans won't do? Tell me one just one.
How can Bush put up a wall or do anything to enforce any action against the Hispanics, when he has Hispanics in his own family??? That's the reason why he won't (or can't) do anything.
Indiana? .. Well congrats I guess. What brought this on if I may ask.
I freep mailed you on that. One plus is I will (in a couple of months, we're not rushing) become a resident in Mike Pence's district.
Little bit of both.
It was simply a comment that he would have been wiser to wear a white hat (as in what heroes wear) as opposed to a black hat.
Now I grant you, this isn't exactly deep political discourse, but then if Keyes was interested in deep political discourse about this visit, he wouldn't have been photographed riding a horse.
And as far as having comments about his speech, no, I don't. He lost me by saying he didn't trust the President; but then I guess I shouldn't be surprised by that either.
Look, I know you are sincere in your opinion of Alan Keyes. More power to you. I do not share it, and I have personal experience which governs my opinion. I do not like him much, even though I grant he is a gifted orator. I usually ignore him, but the reason I came on this thread was because of the interesting convolution of Connie Hair, Alan Keyes, and the Minutemen. I don't like third parties, because they are inevitably spoilers, and it seems to me that is where this is headed.
At any rate, if you are getting sensitive about my comment about a hat, you had best get a thicker skin.
No thick skin needed. Just a sense of humor. And believe me, I find your need to critique clothing choices humorous.
I'm going to be waiting for Gary Bauer to show up in a black Chicago community wearing one of those multicolored robes and pillbox hat saying, "Yep, I'm down with those reparations my man. Give me five bro."
One of the things you guys need is a sense of humor. So far it is sorely lacking.
I would invite you to re-read this thread. I made ONE comment about the hat's color. Period.
Now go find something else to worry about. I am done with this thread.
I've been here longer than you have and know that Sean used to post here and know that Mark has posted here from almost FR's beginnings. Please don't imagine that you are telling me anything I do not know. ;^)
"One of the things you guys need is a sense of humor. So far it is sorely lacking," she said humorlessly.
