If you ever had to wonder about why so many people think the Democratic Party has gone completely insane, look no further than the California spin machine insanity!
After losing to Republican Brian Bilbray in California to replace the criminally convicted "Duke Cunningham," liberal Democrat Francine Busby said:
"We've sent a message that there are no safe seats" ... Americans "really want change."
In spite of the media talking heads trying to help spin this LOSS into a "win," let's take a good, close look at the psychotic Democratic Party. Somehow the Democratic Party has become so completely perverted, almost deranged in their thinking, that a loss is now a win.
And let's take a close look at the background of what SHOULD have actually been an "easy" win for Ms. Busby and the Democratic Party:
This was contrasted with a clear message from Busby's Republican challenger Bilbray. He stood on reducing government, reducing taxes and securing the borders.
Bilbray had a number of obstacles to overcome: the conviction of Cunningham; liberal California politics; Busby's call for Illegal Alien Vote fraud; the Democratic Party support: and the National Media machine hyping the race, the win is an AMAZING harbinger of things to come.
While the corrupt national media will certainly join in the Democrat insanity spinning this loss as a win as well, let's not forget the the Democratic Party is truly the party of:
So if you happen to run into one of those "National Media" stories about how the Democrats have somehow demonstrated that a LOSS is a "win," remember, the Democratic Party and the National Media are both insane.

I will take a bad win over a good loss any day when it come to politics.
It's my understanding that at least two of the other three were strong secure-the-borders, anti-illegal immigration candidates. One was supported by the MinuteMen (Griffith), and I believe the other was an independent running on a border security platform, as well. I would anticipate that those who voted for those two border security candidates would vote for Bilbray in the general election in November.

Roger Hedgecock said today that he got some information from his secret democrat sources - the CA dems are all but slitting their wrists over the loss of the 50th seat - because they spent millions more than the RNC. It's been reported that the repubs spent $5 mil for Bilbray's election (mostly on ads), but the dems spent quite a bit more than that.
If this is true, I wonder how they feel about Bilbray's invitation to illegals to vote early and vote often? That remark seems to have cost her, and her party, the election. I would think they'd be to torqued off to want her to run again come November, but you never know with libs.
Brit Hume completly shot down her arguement during the round table discussion on his show this evening. Bilbray's margin plus the 5% from the 3rd party challenger on Bilbray's right was virtually the same margin that Duke Cunningham and President Bush won by in 2004.
So the democrats spent $5 million and didn't even make a significant gain from the districts 2004 numbers and, according to all three members of the round table discussion, illegal immigration WAS the deciding factor in the race.

In California you don't need to show an I.D. to vote. You don't have to prove you are a legal citizen to register to vote.
That should be what outrages Californians more than the fact that Busby was encouraging illegals to vote.....the fact that illegals can easily vote!
Busby was just telling the truth....you don't need no steenkin papers to vote.

Bilbray is the guy who won .. Busby is the democrat.
But .. I think it was Bilbray's comment to McCain which helped too .. Bilbray's campaign told McCain "don't come because this district does not support your immigration plan". That swayed a lot of conservatives who might not have been so happy about voting for Bilbray.
Bilbray was actually the weakest possible candidate, and the Dems had a turnout advantage because of the gubernatorial primary.
And she STILL didn't do better than Kerry did in the district.
The Dems on Daily Kos are saying they only spent 2 million.
