What was the relationship between Saddam Hussein's inner circle and Islamic terrorists? A newly released document captured in Iraq, but never before seen by the public, offers glimmers of new insight at the Pentagon's Foreign Military Studies Office Web site. The FMSO is a research and analysis center under the U.S. Army's Training and Doctrine Command. This particular document mentions two men with similar names, each with ties to Pakistani religious schools known as madrassas, Jihad training camps, the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
This original translation by my translator-colleague, who goes by the nom de guerre of "Sammi," comes from a notebook kept by an Iraqi intelligence agent. It provides evidence of a cooperative, operational relationship agreed to at the highest levels of the Iraqi government and the Taliban. The notebook is lengthy and we will present it on the FOX News Web site in a series of postings. It deals extensively with meetings between Maulana Fazlur Rahman, an Al Qaeda/Taliban supporter, and Taha Yassin Ramadan, the former vice president of Iraq, and other unnamed Iraqi officials.

WTF?????????
You mean someone other than JVeritas is translating documents? Get OFF! No WAY! OK Maybe......lol
"MUST READ" the entire FoxNews article -- they have a translation of part of the document.
LOL...It might be a good thing since there might be upwards of 2 million Docs. Of course we could tell jveritas just to hurry, he can do without sleep for next few years. :-)
" It provides evidence of a cooperative, operational relationship agreed to at the highest levels of the Iraqi government and the Taliban."
PING
It's written as diary in a 1999 calendar -- so this was already going on back then.

lol
"Two captured documents this notebook and the West Point document seem to provide evidence of the same link between Maulana Fazlur Rahman and the Saddam regime, one captured in Iraq, the other in Afghanistan. The document captured in Afghanistan was used in a Combating Terrorism Center at West Point study about Al Qaeda indicating high confidence in its authenticity. The fact that two private communications captured in different countries with different authors make the same point is a good indicator that each is genuine. It thus lends creditability to the notebook that also indicates an Usama bin Laden associate was scheduled to visit Iraq."
Cusack has been a left wing wack for decades.
We all knew the evidence would come out--so now will it be widely reported? (I suspect it will require some effort on the part of the pyjamahadeen...)
Ignore above. Wrong thread.
Well, cindy did say that if the terrorists came over here from wherever..we could "just use anything, even a rolling pin to attack them back!"
I didn't feel so worried then, cause Cindy had a great plan.
Good post. It is a pity that those who need this information the most, believe that the Pentagon was hit by a cruise missle, and the Twin Towers where purposely detonated by hidden explosives placed by John Ashcroft and Dick Cheney.
They've twisted their world view so bad that they could be kidnapped by the terrorists, shown inpeccable evidence, and made to witness beheadings and they still would blame Rove and Bush and Cheney....
Whoops. Almost forgot to say thanks for the great post. Yet another stone turned over that shows Saddam had ties with world wide terrorist groups.

I think we'll see more of these connections as more documents are translated and as we get closer to November 2
Yeah, the pre-war intelligence sure was "faulty". /sarc
The president needs to take these documents to a White House press briefing immediately. Helen, shove this!
The pieces keep falling into the puzzle, don't they?
someone notify MSM!
http://markeichenlaub.blogspot.com/ More links between Saddam and al Qaeda mentioned here
Don't tell the MSM, they are too busy telling us that Zarqawi's death isn't important. They can't be bothered for a few weeks until they can cook up another fake scandal.
Big find -- only someone who pretends that the Taliban was not deeply implicated with Al Qaeda or that VP Ramadan was not Saddam's right hand man could possibly doubt the enormous significance of this find. Of course, libs have made a career out of ignoring the obvious, so nothing will sway them now.
More thanks to that jerkoff Negroponte no doubt... I SWEAR he is working against us.

Huh???? Negroponte is the current National Intelligence Director. This is from 1999, when Clinton wasn't paying attention, while Saddam was playing footsie and planning with Al Qaeda.
"Yep. Remember that Cindy Sheehan thinks they are all freedom fighters and Iraq had no terrorists. Freedom Fighters video snippet."
Here's a link with a transcript and a file you don't have to download:

Thanks. Have the whole series.
Wow! I am certain the MSM will be all over this one!
Yeah, I know. Here's the tag: /sarc.
But it is on the Foxnews website--that's a start. (Trying to be positive here.)
I think he's referring to how Negroponte dragged his feet on releasing any docs, until Pres. Bush had to order that it be done.
These docs should have been studied and released 3 years ago. Negroponte has only been on the scene for a year or so, I believe, but still he could have expedited the project and instead kept opposing the release of any docs. It think just about any national security bureaucrat hates releasing docs (unless it's libs leaking to the MSM), but still Negroponte should have grasped how important it is for these docs to be read and translated.

Thanks for the clarification. Now I understand the comment.
But I only found it by accident -- it's not listed in their Frontpage stories.
I searched Google News for the word "terror" and it showed up that way.
Good stuff.
and neither should you.
Just make sure to do a 2nd check on the stuff that comes out of his office.
I smell something....
Just found this relevant earlier post (May 2006):
Jveritas (Joseph), "Sammi", and Ray Robison combine forces on PreWarDoc book project

Great idea!
Thank you so much for posting this. I've been following Ray Robison 's work since March. his is excellent that it is being featured by Fox news.
I should have figured that out. It was too much to hope for--a press that wants the truth to be told! What was I thinking?
::RAZZ:: to them! :^p

This is news that will do nothing to silence
the "BUSH LIED, PEOPLE DIED!" crowd.
