Q: As a financier and political activist who has spent fortunes trying to remove President Bush from office, do you ever feel you have squandered your resources?
George Soros. »Not at all. When you take a stand, you do it because of a principle and not because you necessarily will prevail. I did what I could. I didn't succeed. You know, it didn't hurt me.
Q. How much money, roughly, did you contribute to MoveOn.org and other anti-Bush groups during the last presidential campaign?
Something like $27.5 million. It's a lot of money, but the annual budget for my foundation is about $400 million.
In that case, why didn't you give more money to Democratic causes?
You can't buy the elections. Partly because of my participation, as much money was spent on the Democratic side as there was on the Republican side, but the Republicans are much better at messaging and distorting the truth. The Swift Boat ads, which cost maybe a million or whatever, had a tremendous impact because they were in-your-face distortions of the truth.

Well, at least he's being candid that they [Dems & Libs] are out to distort the truth.
I could say what I hope happens to this disgusting maggot but I would probably be banned for it.
For example:
From his website, "An open society is a society based on the recognition that nobody has a monopoly on the truth,"
From the interview, "the Republicans are much better at messaging and distorting the truth."
Apparently liberals have a monopoly on undistorted truth.
I hope he dumps his entire fortune down the rat hole he likes to play in.
Those who tell the truth have a monopoly on the truth. Those that live in a lie are left out. Sorry, Georgy Porgy.
Karl Popper defined an "open society" simply as one in which political change can happen without bloodshed or a coup d'etat. Of course this definition doesn't allow Soros to take a subtle swipe at his ideological opponents.
Now, don't you go lookin' at me like that. :=)
Soreass.
irrelevant then. irrelevant now.
He's Howard Hughes with less sanity.
"The Swift Boat ads, which cost maybe a million or whatever, had a tremendous impact.."
I am very proud and happy with the contributions that I made to the swift boats. I felt like I got my message out with my contribution. They were the best political contributions that I have ever made in my life.
In one of Nostradamus' quatrains, the translation from the cryptic verse identifies the BLACK BEAST: THE ANTI-CHRIST'S NAME IS THE SAME SPELLED FORWARD AS BACKWARD!!!!! Likka...Soros???
Now, don't you go lookin' at me like that. :=)
***Heh, heh! It's Otto!
Soros is to the left of Lenin
This treasonous, communist, POS should be deported to one of the countries where he's been convicted.
