STATEMENT OF ROBERT LUSKIN, ATTORNEY FOR KARL ROVE Tue Jun 13 2006 07:14:31 ET
Washington, DCRobert Luskin, Attorney for Karl Rove today released the following statement:
On June 12, 2006, Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald formally advised us that he does not anticipate seeking charges against Karl Rove.
In deference to the pending case, we will not make any further public statements about the subject matter of the investigation. We believe that the Special Counsel's decision should put an end to the baseless speculation about Mr. Roves conduct.

Lmao
DNC Chair Howard Dean: "If Karl Rove had been indicted it would have been for perjury. That does not excuse his real sin which is leaking the name of an intelligence operative during the time of war. He doesn't belong in the White House. If the President valued America more than he valued his connection to Karl Rove then Karl Rove would have been fired a long time ago. So I think this is probably good news for the White House, but its not very good news for America."
The man who lost his bid for the WH sounds a little b*tchy this morning.
DU suicide watch today!
And Joe Wilson .. he was telling the Kos Kids over the weekend how Rove was going down
Sales of Valium will spike today in the blue states.
And razor blades...
("I picked a fine day to stop sniffing glue")
Jag
Was he REALLY? That makes this announcement all the sweeter!
This is just too much fun!
Here's the first blader ....

More than two hours into the news cycle, truthout.org, a site which famously splashed the headline last month, 'Karl Rove Indicted on Charges of Perjury, Lying to Investigators,' a headline which ignited a firestorm in the underground, still featured no announcement of Rove NOT being charged.
Truthout.org was still standing by its story.
MSNBC's Keith Olbermann's page also carried no word on Rove being cleared, despite months of assuring his audience [ON MORE THAN 26 DIFFERENT PROGRAMS, ACCORDING TO NEXIS] how the Bush adviser faced indictment.

This is fun, ain't it?
Hmmmm.......!

Go check out DU for a steaming hot cup of schadenfreude today!
And Bush is in Bagdad! :-)

"I felt a tremendous disturbance in the Force, as though a few hundred DUmmies suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced...."

LOVE that animated gif!
If Rummy were only able to use such powers on the nitwits in the media that he regularly does battle with.
All together now, "AMF 'Shreve884'!!!"
How ironic.
Everyone lies. Let's move on.
In related news, tiny tommie daschle and Harry Reid both announced that they were "deeply disappointed".
Watch out! Rove got his Hurricane MachineTM upgraded.
I don't think shreve needs a zot. Read the post on his link. If he's the same Shreve, he's laughing at the Dems.
Of course, I could be wrong, but I'm giving him/her the botd.
I LOVE IT! LOL:) Thanks for link.
And to top it all off...GWB lands via choper in the green zone of Baghdad..
Fair enough, but how about a little tickle of electricity for USING ALL CAPS?!
Sorry for the confusion ... I was simply pasting a response I found elsewhere (that seemed to fit the dire predictions). The all caps was original, and not added by me. I did provide a link below the post ... trust me, I couldn't dream this stuff up in a million years. The rational part of my brain is not suffering from overexposure to Howard Dean.
Yes. Wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which one fills up quickes. Matthews is in the middle of a fugue storm. Will he even show up the MSNBC today is the real question? His whole lifes work and meaning just went down the tube. Rove is clean and I doubt Matthews can wrap his mind around that notion.
Ya want another good laugh??
Watch this video .. LOL

The idiot reporter on ABC radio said that the special prosecuter couldn't find a way to win the case so he dropped the charges. *steam, coming out of ears*
OK, fair enough Shreve - but your sign up date of TODAY (2006-6-13) was definitely screaming *ZOT*.
Go in peace my FRiend.
Nicely Done, FRiend!!!
I thought that was clear from your post.
Anyway, welcome to FreeRepublic.
He, he, he....
I guess you've just added to the record high Valium sales on the left side...
Thanks for the welcome. I've been a lurker here for a long time, but just now finally decided to post.
Wow! But what about those sealed indictments? They were the sugarplums dancing in the liberals' heads. Weeping and gnashing of teeth today. Savor it!

The smear-media won't care a bit about correcting anything - they've already achieved what they wanted, which was to tie up Rove and the WH for 3 years with baseless smears. Now, of course, the new talking point ala Howie (Scumbag) Dean will be to keep the smear going by talking about the supposed 'outing' of Valerie Pflame again.
Truthout.org has been shown to be completely without scruples or competence. Jason Leopold deserves to be sued for libel, since his misreporting was obviously contrary to fact AND done with blatant malice. However, public figures can almost never benefit from pursuing a libel case against such smear merchants - it would just help to keep the story going.
The MEDIA SPIN is that Rove is guilty and the prosecutor knows he's guilty but in a display of prosecutorial deference the prosecutor won't prosecute because although he knows Rove is guilty he unfortunately doesn't have sufficient evidence to win the case, but Rove is still guilty.
LOLOL! Is that from "Kill Bill Volume 2?" I like the scene when he says, "Prepare to meet the bottom of my foot!" to Uma Thurman and then he kicks her. Priceless.
I wonder if Jason Leopold will reveal his "inside" source now. . .
