It IS a duplicate and the other thread is still alive. I know this, since I was pinged to the original thread earlier this evening. :-)

To the right of their parents! Texas A&M gets some of the credit in that regard, for teaching them both engineering and conservative common sense. :-)

Calm down, np. Just a joke. Get off the formula and grab some breast milk.

To the right of their parents!Awe. One can only hope that there was a link between breast milk and conservatism. But you had to ruin it.

If you want to breastfeed then DO IT! If you don't THEN DON'T! It certainly isn't deadly to feed an infant formula and NO ONE should be able to tell a new mom that she HAS to breastfeed!!!!!!

You are neither funny nor clever; but, you are being juvenile and smarmy.
Grow up!
To: nopardons
Na. It's more fun to poke at you so you can tell me to grow up. I like it better that way.

Why are you telling me this? I neither breastfed nor bottle fed. It's up to the mom. I don't see the big deal here. I can see that you've obviously read something wrong I posted or simply have the wrong poster.

Personally I would think that women would want to breast feed simply to help with losing weight after birth... producing the calories for the kid is losing calories for you...calories in the milk + calories to produce the milk = total calories lost

Exactly. Yes, breastmilk is best. But sometimes breastfeeding (especially exclusive breastfeeding) isn't possible. These commercials basically equate failure to exclusively breastfeed for six months to child abuse (e.g., smoking or riding mechanical bulls while pregnant). That is ridiculous hyperbole.

Of course you do...children do so like to imagine that they can "best" an adult; however, they never can. :-)

One thing's for certain, the early a woman starts breast feeding, the longer she does it, and the more children over which she breast feeds, the lower will be her risk of developing breast cancer.

Sorry, should read "the earlier a woman" not "the early a woman". It's been a long hard day and my eyes are barely open.
