Who Lost Kosovo?
Accuracy In Media (AIM) ^ | 15 June 2006 | Cliff Kincaid

Posted on 06/15/2006 7:00:46 AM PDT by Doctor13

Our media are ready and eager to pounce on Bush whenever he is perceived to have made a misstatement, but a retired General and former Democratic presidential candidate tells blatant lies about Kosovo and gets away with it.

Senator John Kerry, the defeated 2004 Democratic candidate for president, was the subject of a May 28 New York Times article about how he is once again trying to rebut allegations about his military service made by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. With a sympathetic media, such as that represented by the Times story, Kerry thinks he might be able to rehabilitate himself and try another presidential run. The Times endorsed Kerry for president in 2004.

But Kerry may have some competition. On Memorial Day, another former Democratic presidential candidate, retired General Wesley Clark, tried to rewrite the history of the war in Kosovo in order to make himself into a great military hero. "Last week," he said, "I returned to Kosovo for the first time since I retired from military service. For me, this trip was very personal. In 1999, I commanded the NATO forces that stopped the genocide against ethnic Albanians by Slobodan Milosevic and his Serbian forces."

That sounds pretty impressive-commanding the forces that stopped genocide. Too bad it's not true.

There were a baker's dozen outright psychopaths in the KKKlinton administration; Wesley Clark was one of them.

Big Media loves General Wesley Clark even more than Vietnam veteran & traitor John Kerry and more then GOP 'Maverick' John MeCain.

AIM does great work.

Wars are only unconstitutional when Republicans are in office.

Big Media loves General Wesley Clark. . .

Including Fox News, unfortunately. . .

Have not seen him as much; so perhaps they have had their fill. . .(or maybe I just see him less; the more he appeared. . .the less I watched. . .)

According to the article:
"That figure [2,108 killed]also didn't include the number of Serbs killed in Serbia by the NATO mission commanded by Clark and ordered by President Clinton."

I remember watching the news reports of yet another group of 20 or 30 civilians accidentally killed by a high altitude bomb that had gone astray. After this report, the news often interviewed a crying survivor who would say something similar to this: they understood that such loss of lives was a sad accident in a necessary bombing campaign. No matter what the cost in civilian lives, President Clinton's policy was HIGH ALTITUDE bombing in order to insure that none of our pilots would be shot down. I kept mentally adding up the numbers. By the time the war ended, I believe it was close to 450 civilians killed by our bombs. I think President Clinton was more concerned about the political fallout of losing one of our pilots than about the lives of those (roughly) 450 civilians.
Final body count: About 2100 Muslims killed by the Serbs.
About 450 Serbs killed by the U.S.

Who Lost Kosovo?

The Serbs.

Nice how the author uses 1999 numbers for his K-Albanian casualty info, neatly omitting that since then thousands more have been found, to include 800 odd in Serbia itself, on the grounds of the MUPs facilities at Batajnica.

So much for the "Accuracy" in the source's name.

Hopelite: Thanks for the update on the numbers. I hadn't yet heard about the additional thousands of graves (of massacred civilians, I presume) that had been found.

He was "fired" by Bill, not retired. Then given a medal for his service.

The man's words and acts disgrace his years of service.

Contrary to what Kincaid suggests in this article, the war in Kosovo was NOT "unconstitutional." Congress had every opportunity to call Clinton on the carpet on that one, and a group of GOP Congressmen actually filed a lawsuit against the Clinton administration, claiming that the war in Kosovo was a violation of the War Powers Act.

The Federal judge who threw out the case had a very interesting take on the whole thing.

Who lost Kosovo? Slick Willy and his posse of criminals and sociopaths (one in the same?) and his midas touch of 'peace' brokering. And not just Kosovo. Everywhere he put his filthy handshake of peace there is turmoil. With the Palis, in Somalia, anywhere he could work to give the Islamoterrorists the upper hand. I guess that's why he ignored the Sudan for 8 years, the terrorists were already winning there...

Hoplite is not one for accuracy, his allegiance lies in propaganda and his strawman army is stuffed to the brim with utter BS.

"In his message, Clark went on to tell another whopper. Referring to the NATO campaign, he said, "This was an example of how we CAN do it right: diplomacy first, strong leadership, working with others, and using force only as a last resort. We had a plan for what to do after the operation before we began air strikes."

What they did right was fabricate massacres like Racak, that's how the Democrat's operate, make stuff up and then sell it to the public.

I saw that you guys are talking about Kosovo and I m pretty sure that most of you knows very little about Kosovo expect the guys who love to see Kosovo under Serbia occupation (I see they are pretty many here) but guys unfortunately that time is gone and will never come back so let me tell you a lot more about Kosovo and US government supporting Kosovo freedom.
In Kosovo live 90% Albanians ,7% Serbs and 3% Rome,Turkish etc
In Kosovo exists :Muslims,Christians,Orthodox,Jews
Have you ever heard about any religious problem in Kosovo?...never...because Muslims aren;t ists they live their lives when they have their freedom like every other religion or country...I am talking about Kosovo and Kosovo's people.Kosovo war was for Freedom ,Albanians in Kosovo were d every single day by Serbs..why??? Because Serbs wanted Kosovo ethniclly cleared by Albanians but they never achieved that.
Would you live under the occupation of another country? you don't have freedom, you don't have rights, you don't have school,in hospitals serbs play with your mom, sister ....would you stand that? would you stand someone who kills your father for no reason?
Albanians in Kosovo wanted freedom and they will have it soon.
Bill Clinton,Madeline Albright and Wesley Clark are three Americans that people of Kosovo will never forget and will love them forever...why?? simple reason..because they were the people who stopped criminals and helped Albanians from the massacre. You have a lot of places to read about Kosovo and Kosovo war....true sources not fake news, not politics...Albanians LOVE USA ...so don't tell lies about Kosovo Muslims because you can't prove that...don't ever talk something that you don't know....you can download a book and see who helped a lot of Jews from Holocaust when other nations didn;t like to see them link is here: http://aacl.com/index11.html
Do you know who celebrates US independence expect US?

if you wanna know more, ask and I will try to respond ASAP but don't give wrong clues
