Apologies! This may be my fault.......I went to the C-Span website last night to prepare my post and then save it for a quick post this morning. I think Tony wasn't on the schedule as of last night and was booked this morning to lend balence........Too many shooters (Lemon Drops) of some $50/bottle Vodka last night after the performance.

Remember President Bush reading a fallen soldier's letter to his family(3 of them serving in combat) at his emotional U.S. Naval Academy speech?

Comforter-in-Chief couple of days ago privately met with those great soldiers families. It 's amazing to see how the military families admire our Prez. MSM as usual ignores it and Seattle Post-Intelligencer runs a touching article worth reading it in full, as it offers a complete contrast of the views reflecting the SERVING soldiers & their families with that of Mad Murtha's.

Don't miss it.

No apology needed. It must have been an impromptu appearance by Tony!

Senator Biden! Long time, no see!

Did you know he is running for president..."flat out." Biden loves to use those "regular guy" phrases.

The glue from his hair plugs must be seeping into his brain if he thinks he can be elected President. Delusional!

Good Morning.

In for Tony, and of course the best intellectual company in the universe.

Happy Father's Day, all!

Obama is amazingly vapid... his speeches are nothing but well-crafted, socialist-rhetoric without defined goals. He's more worried about alligning with the 'right people' on an issue... than the issue itself.

If he runs... it'll be when he starts championing his own pet agenda... not waiting to side with whom he percieves as the current, big cheese.

Tony looks terrific. Chris has asked him if there is any news about the two soldiers who went missing yesterday; no news or updates.

MTP

Tim is just letting Murtha grandstand and fillibuster.

Finally, Tim starts asking a question.

Murtha starts off complaining about the cost of the war. Wants port security and NCLB spending. Says we're not fighting this war. There's no plan, it's just stay the course. Goes into full rant and ramble mode very quickly. No projects done in Anbar, which is the heartland of the defense. Not one question or interruption from Timmy. We need to redeploy to the periphery. What was done with Zarqawi could have been done from the periphery. (No it couldn't, we had boots on the ground right there, Murtha.)

Murtha: He (Rove) is sitting on "his big fat backside".

Chris says he's heard there is new evidence about Iraq's WMD program. Tony says he hasn't heard that.

Tony:

"Give 'em back"

What a guy. He reminds me in some ways of a couple great comedic actors in our time who had to say very little, could just look into the camera and the audience knew what they were thinking.

"Democrats are struggling to find "one" black Democrat who compares well to Dr. Rice."

Giving them an eight fold increase in sample size, I don't think they could find one Democrat who compares well with Dr. Rice.

I guess Murtha would have opposed the D-Day landings and advised FDR to just bomb Germany into submission.

You know, the left and Clinton permitted OBL to run unchecked in his attacks on America. And OBL cites specifically that incident in Somalia when we pulled out.

Now imagine we weren't in Iraq and didn't take out Zarqawi. Would he have turned into another OBL and attacked America directly? There's no way to know the answer to that question, but I'm delighted we have a President who wasn't willing to find out.
