Poll: Clinton gets high 'no' vote for 2008
CNN.com ^ | 6/19/06

CNN) -- With the presidential election more than two years away, a CNN poll released Monday suggests that nearly half of Americans would "definitely vote against" Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Respondents were asked whether they would "definitely vote for," "consider voting for," or "definitely vote against" three Democrats and three Republicans who might run for president in 2008.

Regarding potential Democratic candidates, 47 percent of respondents said they would "definitely vote against" both Clinton, the junior senator from New York who is running for re-election this year, and Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, the party's candidate in 2004. (Poll)

Forty-eight percent said the same of former Vice President Al Gore, who has repeatedly denied he intends to run again for president.

I certainly hope this doesn't stop either one of them from running. Once America gets wind of Kerry's military record and Hillary's winning personality I'm certain they'll change their minds... I toughest question will be; "Which one is the very best?"

Nigh anyone who voted for Kerry would also vote for Clinton. That small slice of Ohio made all the difference, and it could happen that way again in 2008.

Who can emerge from the primordial swamp gas creation bog that is the DNC, and claim front-runner status? It's just a freakin' freak show over there. Gotta love that:)

The rats will deliver 47% of the national vote to whatever commie leftist loser traitor who happens to claw his/her way to the front of the pack. And they'll try to close the gap by endowing illegal aliens and dead people with "the right to vote".

Herself could STILL get elected on a plurality with a third-party candidate in the race, much like the 1992 race was decided.

H. Ross Perot probably confused the electoral picture in this country for the next twenty years, at least.

This is rubbish. No person who voted for Kerry in 2004 will abstain from voting because Hillary is the nominee. People will be far madder at Bush in 2008 than they were in 2004, and Hillary will get all of Kerry's vote.

And...the chic, newly registered vote, which I personally think would give her the election were a bland Republican like Allen or Rudy to run.

"No person who voted for Kerry in 2004 will abstain from voting because Hillary is the nominee"

President Bush had a much higher percentage of the votes in 2000 than in 2004 and won the popular vote in 2004 as well, something he didn't do in 2000.

"People will be far madder at Bush in 2008 than they were in 2004, "

You mean like they were madder at Bush in 2004 than 2000?
Dude, Bush WON in 2004.
What "people" are you talking about here?
Kos/DU/moveon moonbats?
BTW, feel free not to vote for President Bush in 2008, will ya? Heh Heh!

The question is, who do the Powers That Be (the elites) want to be Prez? They'll tell the MSM to push this person to the front of the pack, and the Dems will follow in lockstep, believing that they have a true, free choice in our political system. (Pardon my cynicism, please.)

Did any of you guys happen to catch the doctored photo of HRC in Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People" issue (May 8 on p.68). They managed to make her face look glamourous and that takes some doing. I'd nominate Time for the Dan Rather Prize (photography category) for fraudulent journalism.

Well .. we don't know who they used in their poll. These just happen to be those who get the highest "NO" votes that they're willing to talk about.

And .. if Romney and Allen didn't get that many "NO" votes - then there would be plenty of reason not to mention them.

To me it shows who the CNN-types want you to believe is the contender vs who the real contender might be. They love to throw McCain and Rudy and Jeb out there as the front runners, when neither of them have that strong a showing in other polls.

My guess is that 20% of the no votes were the kook left wing base being angry with her over the war. Probably 15% of those would 'come back home' for a general election vote, but the poll is still good news.

You're right, Hillary will need a major Botox makeover. But she's not alone. That's What's disgusting about a number of Washington politicians, male included. Just look at the makeup and hairdos. I've never seen more totally Grey haired young men in my life, as in the House and Senate . The men have to be spending as much time in the beauty salons as the women.

Regarding potential Democratic candidates, 47 percent of respondents said they would "definitely vote against" both Clinton, the junior senator from New York who is running for re-election this year, and Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, the party's candidate in 2004.

The other 53% simply puked.

As far as the 'Rats are concerned, Hillary! is the Power That Bees (please pardon my ebonics). She answers to no one. She sets her own agenda. She wants to run and she will run. She will almost certainly win the 'Rat nomination. Then we will all pull together as never before and stomp her like the evil commie rat she is. (I use the word "stomp" figuratively, of course).

If anything, her negatives have been going up since these kinds of polling began.
And it's been a full 6 years since the BJ Klinton scandals already.
