MANAGUA, Nicaragua - Big waves generated by a storm thousands of miles away battered Central America's Pacific Coast, destroying at least 20 houses and a small hotel in Nicaragua and Guatemala, civil defense authorities said Tuesday.
The Hurricane Center in Miami said the waves were caused by a poweful South Pacific storm that was sending 10- to 12-foot swells across the ocean.
Authorities ordered evacuations in Nicaragua as reports of high tides came in from Mexico and several Central American countries.

Sunday in Mexico, an old man got up and said God told him to read Luke 21:25...last part. AND MEN WERE CONFUSED BECAUSE OF THE ROAR OF THE SEA AND IT´S WAVES. And upon the Earth, Great Confusion among men

My God, this must not have happened since (A)10,000 years ago?, (B)1,000 years ago?, (C)500 years ago?, (D)100 years ago?, (E)50 years ago?, (F)10 years ago?, (H)every previous year in the last century? (G)last year?
Answer: either (H) or (G) would be right.

Um... that's Teahoupo, know that break anywhere... Correct, Teahupoo it is! I told my wife I have to surf there before I get too old to scream.
Here's another thick lipped beauty to loose your mind over.

I got an "x"... I am an avid surfer. Surfed Cloud 9 http://www.cloud9surf.com when I was in the PI and other hot Philippine locations. Baler in Aurora was the best... San Fernando La Union had good surf as well, we called the rights there, Philippine Pipeline... Heavy wave, steep and fast...on a 6'day only a few inches above the rocks, have to ride high, or you drag...

Was going to tell you about an upcoming trip the PI this winter but figured no one knew how good it is there ....
My wife is from there ....if it's as good as I hear and the locals don't mind a white boy paddling in with them we may retire there.
Now I'm so stoked I'll have to tell my boss I'm coming down with something and go home......
