"Keep your mind open and somebody will fill if full of something for you."When people have an open mind, it is only because there is not enough mind there to connect the dots.

...not a real pundit but an actress, a screeching smoke alarm in the guise of a point of view. And yet the media encourages her, legitimizes her, mainstreams her and collectively serves even to venerate her.
Much the same as the media veneration of PETA. So?

Carlin may be a pathetic, aging hippie, but he's not stupid enough to take on Ann Coulter where she can fire back. Old George prefers monologues where's he's somewhat safer...his reaction wasn't classy, it was cowardice. And Ann, gracious that she is, very classily let him off the hook in pity.

I guarantee you Ray Richmond hasn't read one page of Godless. He's nothing but another no talent, name calling liberal with nothing new to say.

"When an extremist whack-job like [Dan Blather, Mary Mapes, and all their pals] can be positioned on network air as notorious but cogent and compelling rather than a lunatic fringe agitator of division and hatred, it would seem the broadcast news community has abandoned its judgment."
Funny, we don't see rants like this from libs about all the 'extremists' of the left who get to rant about "Bush lied" etc. without contradiction on all of the MSM shows.
"...At the same time, I don't buy the argument that Coulter is merely a significantly slimmer and slightly more feminine Michael Moore. At least Moore tries to provoke discussion. All Coulter seeks to trigger is a fatter income. And in NBC, she has her obliging enablers."
This guy is too dim-witted to be real. He thinks that Michael Moore-on is better than Ann Coulter because "at least [he] tries to provoke a discussion"..... oh, yeah, ever Moore-onic propaganda screed, whether on film or on his website, etc. has been wonderful at provoking intelligent discussion......./sarcasm
Oh, I forgot, the writer doesn't mention anything about intelligent discussion!

Were Coulter a balding, middle-aged, paunchy, finger-pointing white male, her self-aggrandizing hatespeak would enjoy a short shelf life. No, Fox News would give her a show. Oh wait, O'Reilly already is on there isn't he? As for the Tonight Show appearance, Carlin's short monologue was witty, intelligent, and sharp. I'll agree the 'Cars' team probably told him to be nice. If not, Coulter would still have been trying to think of a comeback to Carlin. Carlin may be liberal but Coulter's not even in the same ballpark, let alone league, as him

The problem is, a public that would make Coulter's "Godless: The Church of Liberalism" the top-selling book in the country (it was still holding steady at No. 2 on Amazon.com as of Friday) can't differentiate between the pontificating preacher and the profiteering promoter. What a moron. I'm reading "Godless" right now as I've read all of Coulter's previous books. She is one of the most intelligent popular conservative writers I've ever read. This guy doesn't debate what she has to say, he only wants to pick on the fact that she is an attractive female and that her writings can sometimes be deservedly harsh.

This is one of the many things I love about Ann.......she doesn't give a crap about who she offends because what she says is true....she's not afraid to say it, she loves the contraversy and she can give libs a wedgie without lifting a finger.*~*

A man spewing similarly vile invective about Sept. 11 widows would be shipped off to live out his days in shame and isolation. Shut your lying cake hole...
They did not license themselves to "target innocent civilians." There is simply no argument to be made that the Pentagon personnel killed on September 11 fill that bill. The building and those inside comprised military targets, pure and simple. As to those in the World Trade Center . . .
Well, really. Let's get a grip here, shall we? True enough, they were civilians of a sort. But innocent? Gimme a break. They formed a technocratic corps at the very heart of America's global financial empire the "mighty engine of profit" to which the military dimension of U.S. policy has always been enslaved and they did so both willingly and knowingly. Recourse to "ignorance" a derivative, after all, of the word "ignore" counts as less than an excuse among this relatively well-educated elite. To the extent that any of them were unaware of the costs and consequences to others of what they were involved in and in many cases excelling at it was because of their absolute refusal to see. More likely, it was because they were too busy braying, incessantly and self-importantly, into their cell phones, arranging power lunches and stock transactions, each of which translated, conveniently out of sight, mind and smelling distance, into the starved and rotting flesh of infants. If there was a better, more effective, or in fact any other way of visiting some penalty befitting their participation upon the little Eichmanns inhabiting the sterile sanctuary of the twin towers, I'd really be interested in hearing about it. - Ward Churchill
The left shield this antiAmerican professor who earned taxpayer dollars. Talk about vilifying the victims.

Were Coulter a balding, middle-aged, paunchy, finger-pointing white male, her self-aggrandizing hatespeak would enjoy a short shelf life. How does this writer explain the constant media exposure of the hateful Michael Moore, Teddy Kennedy, James Carville, Al Franken, Congressman Murtha, et al.? "Fat," "ugly," and (sometimes) "balding" doesn't begin to describe this beauty-challenged bunch.
To: synbad600
I don't know, Murtha is still going strong. After his "We can defend Iraq from Okinawa" statement he may be headed for the trash heap. Probably not, though.

To call this guy a 'reporter' would be to give real reporters a bad name.
Just let the real 'reporters' continue giving themselves bad names. They don't need any help from us!!

Thanks for reminding me. I forgot to add Ward Churchill (fat, ugly, and in serious need of hygiene lessons) to my list.
