Not a peep anywhere in the MSM about this "incredibly significant" find. The silence is deafening.

"We know it was there, in place, it just wasn't operative when inspectors got there after the war, but we know what the inspectors found from talking with the scientists in Iraq that it could have been cranked up immediately, and that's what Saddam had planned to do if the sanctions against Iraq had halted and they were certainly headed in that direction," said Fred Barnes, editor of The Weekly Standard and a FOX News contributor.

Maybe we should all hold our breath and wait for the legendary Hanz Blix to weigh in on this...

I live in AZ but I'm sending Santorum $50 for his re-election campaign. We need to keep him in there.

But I can't even think of an excuse as to why they've kept this information secret while letting themselves get pummeled.

If you announce that there are WMDs in Iraq, terrorists from all over the middle east would flock to Iraq faster than the 1849 gold rush to California. By essentially stating that there were no WMDs, nobody except the US is actively looking for (and finding) WMDs. Make sense?

Remember we also found missiles in Iraq that had been fitted with hollow warheads for WMD's such as sarin or mustard gas.

Liberals cant make the connection that warheads built fitted for sarin or mustard gas found seperatly from the actual sarin or mustard gas in another part of Iraq constitues WMD's. In their sick minds if they are not found together in one stockpile it could never be considered a WMD.

Example of Warheads

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,71607,00.html

Jan. 28, 2003:

• Inspectors searched at least eight sites. A biological team visited a grain silo in Taji area north of Baghdad; a second team went to Jerf al-Naddaf south of the capital; a third team visited Baghdad University; and a missile team visited Al Hareth State Company in Taji. A chemical team checked Al Furat State Company in al-Haswah, while others inspected Ukhdair military warehouses 75 miles south of Baghdad where they had found 12 undeclared empty chemical warheads earlier this month. IAEA teams drove to Babel University south of Baghdad and to Al Nasr State Company.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2002/03/13/wirq113.xml

"British intelligence reports say that work on extending their range has begun and that Iraq can arm them with chemical or biological warheads. The CIA says Iraq is developing an unmanned drone to deliver chemical and biological warfare agents."

"Saddam's chemical arsenal included mustard gas, and nerve agents such as sarin, tabun and VX. His biological agents included botulinum, anthrax and aflatoxin."

The libs won't believe it.

The DUers will say Rove planted them or something.

It's just too much of a mantra with them "Bush lied, people died". They will never let it go, truth be darned.

You're probably right, but I'm sure the average/normal person will definitely lean towards this as a reality....and that's all that counts. You can't hope the dims will wake-up to anything, even if it's proven right in their face.

Even if these some/all of these shells are pre-1991, and even if they turn out not to be the binary type that don't degrade (we don't know yet), the UN inpspectors previously found that Iraqi mustard gas could retain high levels of purity for at least 12+ years:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1653841/posts

So it's not out of the question that pre-1991 WMD munitions may still be quite dangerous.

You were asking what "usable" meant, ie the question as to if the shells were in usable condition. If they were binary sarin shells like the one used in the IED in 2004 the answer is that they are usable, binary means the sarin components are stored separately in the shell and do not mix until it is used. This greatly increases the "shelf life" of sarin shells. Mixed sarin degrades, binary sarin apparently does not. This is a huge detail IMO and one that neuters the "old degraded" argument.

What WMD's?
There's no steenkin' WMD's according to the Lefties.

Chem-Bio shells filled with sweets and mollases,
Stock-piles of shells dripping rank mustard gasses.
'Splaining away Saddam's weapons that sting,
-These are a few of the Left's favorite things.

Drab Olive shells filled with old neuro-toxins
Portable chemical work stations rockin'
Denying Santorum the news that he brings
These are a few of the Left's favorite things.

Trolling and baiting while surfing with Bhurkas
Tree hugging lemmings in need of some Sherpas
Free-clinic condoms all wrapped up with string.
These are a few of the Left's favorite things.

When Carl Rove bites,
Tony Snow stings,
When I'm feeling glaaaad,
I simply remember the Left's favorite things.
AND THEN I DON'T FEEEEEEEEEL SOOOo BAAAAAAD!!!!

Well, I thank you for the info, but it was sonofsammy, the troll, who asked me the question in a freepmail. Thankfully, the troll lost his freeplife last night.

That will definitely settle things.

Maybe they can get Hans Blick, Richard Clarke, and Jaime Gorelick all to comment at the same time.

That is as close to the truth as can possibly get in this life.

And don't leave out Scott Ritter. I think you can find him lurking over at myspace.com
