BTC News ^

Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum has been making the rounds claiming that the US has in fact discovered banned weapons in Iraq. The claims are based on the continuing sporadic appearance of pre-Gulf War I munitions containing variously disintegrated chemical weapons, and the Pentagon has said that the claims are crap: the munitions in question, mostly artillery rounds, are unusable and have been for years...

Accepting their position, it only proves that Bush was right. Hans Blix and the UN weapons inspectors didn't find them and the only way to ensure Saddam didn't use them was to topple his regime.

The problem with this is that the Weapons found predate 1991 and could not be used for thier intended purpose.

They were so degraded that they were inert...

Sure they were found, but how much of a threat were they really.

Santorum said many more WMD sites had been found, but were still 'classified'. The problem seems to be that the admin. thinks they've moved on, that WMD's was an argument they didn't win, so why revisit it despite the fact that they have proof the weapons were there in numbers. Insane. Why not just hand the keys to the WH and congress to Hill so she can take things away from us that we already have...for the common good.

They are at war with us, of course they will discredit it. My question to everyone is, how are you supporting the effort on our side?

Thanks for posting those traitors' faces. Turn on the MSM any afternoon and you see them trotting out the lie of the day. It's exactly like watching a wrestling tag-team match, the old rope-a-dope. With republicans silent or chopped off in mid-sentence.

Let's be glad W went in and took care of business so we didn't have to find out!

THANK YOU PRESIDENT BUSH!

What relevant news organization uses the phrase "said that the claims are crap"?

Sounds more like some Kos-mosexual's blog entry.
