Sainted Brangelina devils to some (Do You Know Who I Am! Alert)

Angelina Jolie and her paramour Brad Pitt may fancy themselves as altruists for all their much-ballyhooed Third World philanthropy, but Namibia’s National Society For Human Rights have labeled the couple “colonial overlords.” Yikes!

The Conservative Voice reports that the human rights group has accused the globe-trotting do-gooders of “using heavy-handed and brutal tactics” in persuading the African country’s government to secure their total privacy in the weeks leading up to the May 27th birth of their daughter, Shiloh.

“To shut down a national border so she can give birth in peace is a massive abuse of power,” said a NSHR spokesman.

Well, somebody had to say it!

It is interesting: what would people say if Canada or Poland placed an embargo on issuing visas to journalists at the personal request of a couple of movie stars? And basically allowed the movie stars to decide which journalists could enter their borders?

Normally the press would go ballistic at such a violation of their prerogatives.

I thought that was the best part of the Nambia visit--telling reporters whether or not they could enter. They aren't required to "go ballistic" often enough.

"colonial overlords" I like this term. Honestly, who do these people think they are?

Are you people insane? How dare you criticize a couple filthy-rich, empty-headed entertainers! Don't you know that the only reason Namibia even exists is to provide movie-stars with birthing centers? Britney Spears is all set to drop her next kid there!

It looks like Namibia is the African equivalent of the cardboard box and old towel set-up.

I'm not defending Brangelina but I'm sure they spent a good deal of money in that African cesspool country. They could have always taken their money to some other cesspool.
