The ballot questions emerged after Democratic Gov. Janet Napolitano rejected a wide-ranging immigration bill two weeks ago, saying it would have been too easy on errant employers and too expensive for police agencies.

No, it wouldn't. Not if you allowed the police agencies to keep any fees or penalties they collected.

If the government allowed the individual police officers to keep a portion of the property confiscated or found on the person of an illegal immigrant, I bet enforcement would go up significantly.

Were you being facetious?

No. I've been known to mark through Spanish instructions at places such as the grocery store and gas pumps. If someone can't fill their vehicle without Spanish instructions, they shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel.

Back in April, McCainaic said: "I’ve seen kind of an ugly side to this debate.” McCain is troubled by the use of the terms “illegal alien” and “amnesty.” “Illegal alien” suggests that the 11 million to 12 million border crossers in the United States came from another planet, he said. He prefers the term “illegal immigrant.” McCain said workers from Mexico and elsewhere are drawn here by economic opportunity."

Balderdash McCainiac---they come here for the tax-paid freebies we handout---then send some $38 billion per year out of our economy back to Mehico---the second largest reveneue producer for that country.

Now let McCainiac and Napolitano explain their activities with federal and state funding of the Arizona-Mexico Commission, and the Border Infrastructure Project being implemented in collaboration ith federal, state and local government agencies.

"The Border Infrastructure Project database is the single source of information on Arizona’s border infrastructure projects. It tracks each project’s progress along its approval, programming and funding paths and provides the information in a concise and timely way. I hope this is a valuable tool for you and that you will use it often." -Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano

The University of Arizona Office of Economic and Policy Analysis developed the Border Infrastructure Project concept in partnership with the Arizona-Mexico Commission. It is being implemented in collaboration with federal, state and local government agencies. Border communities and stakeholders will be engaged in this project through outreach efforts.
