Nice eyebrows, dude.

Just found out and put it on our big Darren Mack thread here:

Yea!!
Soms of the stories are saying he was arrested in Mexico, but I haven't seen any confirmation of it.
Let's hope he's not in Mexican custody, but at a US consulate, so the DP is still on the table. Bet it's not, though. The guy's slime.
I initially heard our local San Jose morning news talking head a couple hours ago say he was in custody but was unable to confirm exact details at that time. This is the first news I have seen on the wire.
The Washoe Co. DA Gammick confirmed that Mack has contacted his NV attorney, Scott Freeman.
Funny how the Mexicans will cooperate to detain an American on attempted murder charges, but will not assist in arresting Mexicans who have committed murders here. What hypocrisy. No justice.
ap Update - Caught in Puerto Vallarta
Suspect in Nev. shooting caught in Mexico
RENO, Nev. - A wealthy former pawn shop owner wanted in the death of his estranged wife and the sniper shooting of a judge was arrested in Mexico, authorities said Friday.
Darren Mack was arrested late Thursday in the Pacific coast resort city of Puerto Vallarta, U.S. Ambassador Tony Garza said in a statement released by the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City.
"The arrest of accused killer Darren Roy Mack proves that criminals cannot find a safe haven on either side of the border," Garza said. He said Mack was expected to back in Reno later Friday.
Washoe County District Attorney Dick Gammick confirmed Mack, 45, was in custody but would not elaborate on the arrest Friday morning.
On Thursday, Gammick said Mack had arranged to turn himself in at the U.S. consulate in Puerto Vallarta but had failed to show up.
Mack was charged with murder in the death of his estranged wife, whose body was found in a pool of blood in his town house garage on June 12. The same day, Family Court Judge Chuck Weller was shot in the chest as he stood near his courthouse office window.
Weller, who survived the shooting and has been recovering under guard at an undisclosed location, had been handling the couple's divorce case. No charges have yet been filed in his shooting.
The FBI added Mack to its list of "Most Wanted" fugitives Tuesday, the same day Charla Mack, 39, was buried.
He was considered armed and dangerous, "with access to all types of weapons," FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III said. A search warrant affidavit said officers found several boxes of ammunition and an empty gun case with a receipt for a Bushmaster .223-caliber rifle equipped with a laser sighting device at Mack's town house.
Mack was a co-owner of Palace Jewelry & Loan Co. Inc., a pawn shop, until he turned over control in 2005 to his mother, a lawyer for the business said. He had a net worth of $9.4 million as recently as 2004, according to court documents.
Weller released a statement Thursday, saying: "It is our greatest hope that no further bloodshed occur in this matter."
"We sincerely hope that law enforcement is successful in bringing this matter to a peaceful conclusion," the judge said.
Sounds promising if it's PV.
Is it just me, or does he look like Scott Peterson?
(He should have dyed his hair blond to escape detection! LOL!)
If he thinks his wife was trying to clean his clock, wait 'til the Mexicans in uniforms are through with him.
When will rich criminals learn?
If it's a choice of Mexican prison and no death penalty or coming back to NV and the death penalty, Mexican prison might not look so bad.
Uncanny, well, sort of,. ;-)
Thanks!
"There's a pawnshop on a corner in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
And I walk up and down 'neath the clock
By the pawnshop on a corner in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
But I ain't got a thing left to hock!
She was peaches, she was honey, and she cost me all my money..."
Oh, yeah ... Pittsburgh, Pennsyl - vain - ee - uh
Maybe there is no safe haven in Mexico, but they are plenty of American criminals walking free in the streets of Rio or Havana.
The key to avoid extradition is to find a country that rarely extradite US citizens back to the US.
At any rate, this guy snapped, and he needs to pay for his crime. There is no excuse for killing anyone.
Nevetheless, on a general matter, divorce court is a terrible place for anyone, and I'm amazed at the few cases of violence triggered by the anti-male divorce industry.
Did Darren Mack Try to Make Contact With Me?
Friday, June 23, 2006
By Greta Van Susteren
Under my favorite headline, "never dull" and because I promised you the behind the scenes here is yesterday: I began receiving calls and e-mails yesterday from someone who claims to be in touch with fugitive Darren Mack. Mack is wanted for killing his wife and is a suspect in the sniper shooting of a Reno judge. The e-mailer/caller told me that Mack wants to talk to me.
I was mildly interested in the e-mails and calls, but figured it was either a hoax or someone who might be troubled. Hence I ignored the e-mails for a good bit of time.
After a while and after some persistence by the e-mailer the temptation got too big and I finally bit and e-mailed the e-mailer to call me. He did... many, many, many times. You have no idea how many calls I received from him... and of course the others he asked to call me. Yes, my voice mail is now full. The calls all set forth an unusual requirement with which I had to comply before the fugitive Darren Mack would talk to me. With all the unusual calls, as well as unusual requirements I had to meet, I then figured that this was not legitimate and ignored it. I had no way of knowing for sure... and why would fugitive Mack contact someone to contact me? And why the odd requirements? So, I ignored it all and figured this was the end of story... sort of.
About two hours before our show last night I got a voicemail from someone claiming to be from the Reno Police Department. I returned that call and spoke to the detective who had placed the call. The detective told me that she heard that Mack was trying to reach me. How did she hear this? I said I did not believe it to be true that he wanted to reach me. The detective seemed to have a different opinion she did not have all the calls I had! The detective asked me to call her if I heard from the fugitive Mack.
Bottom line: This is just an example where we sometimes get lured into a wild goose chase. We can't ignore what purports to be tips, but we can get some bum tips. I spent way too much time on this matter last night... and it all led exactly nowhere. Of course you heard nothing about this once the show started since it was, as noted, a wild goose chase.
And here is an update on the Darren Mack case: This note appeared in our FOX News internal computer/communication system this morning:
The FBI attache in Mexico City tells FOX News that Darren Mack has been arrested. He gave himself up to Mexican immigration officials early this morning (just after midnight). He is in custody in Puerto Vallarta and is waiting for a plane to take him back to the United States.
