I've always thought the MSM decided to portray Republicans in red to help Democrats erase the "red communist" association.

How many losers are required to run for Democrats to lose an election?

McGovern. The gift that keeps on giving.

I wonder who Bob Dole is going to endorse on the Repub side?

Olympia Snowe, perhaps?

(Back in the good old days when the GOP was portrayed in blue, and the Rats in Commie Red).

And now the Republicans are the RED-Blooded American patrioits and the Dems are the BLUE-Blood, Blue (as in past tense of blow), Blue (as in I'm so Blue) elitist party of effiminate, metrosexuals who stand for nothing.

Well if the Democrats are looking for a more feminine candidate than Hillary, they have found their man.

One of the best references to it was on the show "Family Ties", iirc. A reminiscing epi about the birth of one of the
kids, the liberal parents are concerned that they didn't vote yet, and a nurse says something about just coming back from a
Nixon victory party. "The polls haven't closed yet!". Something about the results in MN, and then a "young" Michael
J. Fox character enters, holding his arms high, the hands with the "V" signs, "Dad, did you hear?".

The Democrats should listen to McGovern more often. His insights are a national treasure (for Repubs).

As alive as a comatose liberal Democrat can be...yes.

He's well into his 80s though.

President Nixon a moron?

I beg to differ. President Nixon made mistakes, was human after all, but in essence was one of the finest Presidents to ever grace our country. I am sorry you have such a warped sense of truth, history, and perhaps honor. Wow! read a book (not an Oliver Stone movie or a Walter Cronkite CBS special/lie!)

Better yet, why doesn't McGovern run for President and the Dasch-hole can be his VP nominee??

Now THAT would be a winning combination capable of breathing new life into the Demagogic Party!!

Maybe this Bob Shrum dude who works with every losing candidate in modern history can be their big brain behind the scenes, plotting brilliant electoral strategies for victory.

President Nixon a moron?

That remains my opinion.

I beg to differ. President Nixon made mistakes, was human after all, but in essence was one of the finest Presidents to ever grace our country.

I vote for one of the worst.

I am sorry you have such a warped sense of truth, history, and perhaps honor.

I am sorry that you do, fair enough? We disagree, oh well.

Wow! read a book (not an Oliver Stone movie or a Walter Cronkite CBS special/lie!)

I have read more books by various authors in my life than you have even thought of, none of them by the two authors you mentioned. So shove your insults where the sun don't shine.

Out here in South Dakota we have seen so little of Tommy Daschle that he is about ready to get his own Amber Alert. Unfortunately, George McGovern is an all too frequent visitor but we have managed to just ignore him until he goes away.

They did. Earlier they labeled the Nazi's as right wing even though they were socialists and more closely alligned with the democRATS.
