"He rang the police on his mobile phone and said he had been chased into the swamp by some cows, . . ."

Guy's blessed to live in a community where a police
dispatcher would take him seriously. Where I live,
he would likely have been lectured about how it's not
nice to fool mother nature OR the police department.

My inlaws had a bunch of cows on their ranch.
I know that can be very scary!

Perhaps things would not have been so dire for him had he had a Cow-A-Saki. ;o)

I was once harassed for 3 days by a flock of butterflys.

I guess I should have called Game & Fish to helicopter me and mine out of there.

Very cute, luckily it didn't have to heft 'mad cow Hillary'!

"Hey there! Ya got any salt in your pocket? How 'bout some corn? Hey . . . why are you running away?"

This reminds me of the first (and only time) I had a (beef) tongue sandwich at a Kosher deli. It was really quite tasty, but when I felt it needed more mustard, I took off the top piece of bread, and the way it was sliced, I could see the taste buds! Blech! It just really creeped me out that while I was tasting it, it was tasting me right back!

I never did finish that sandwich!

I have never really cottoned to what is euphemistically called "variety meats" . . . way too much variety for me.

You should try field dressing your own deer -- if you can still eat the results, you are one tough cookie. ( You do get used to it after the third or fourth deer.)
