"disclose vital national security programs"

Enough.

Either charge the press with treason or shut up. The President and VP need to put the smack down.

We need to officially declare war, which we should have done at the outset.

I agree with you. I wish the President and VP would put charges of treason where their mouths are, but I know that will never happen. I don't think anyone will ever be charged with treason in this country again - or at least not while it's a Republican-controlled White House and Congress... sigh...

He'd lose in court. They can print what they know, but they have no right to know anything. Those holding classified information who leak it to the press are another story, and are in violation of the law. They can be prosecuted. The press cannot. Except, as I say, for not revealing who gave them the information.

No, no, no. The President and VP can do nothing, neither can the DOJ, the DOD, congress or any other government agency. You see, there's this little matter of the constitution. HOWEVER, although the constitution restricts what the GOVERNMENT can or can no do, it makes no mention of what the PEOPLE decide they can or can not do.

In days gone by, the American people showed their ire with creeps like this by cover them with hot tar and feathers and running them out of town on a rail. That is NOT vigilante justice, it is sensible protection of the American people BY the American people. It's OUR job to do something, we're the only ones the constitution does NOT restrict.

Unfortunately, these morons reside in New York, and, although New York has been hit with a terrorist attack, it doesn't seem to have more than a half dozen people who believe 9-11 actually happened. Except, of course, when the money slows, then they suddenly remember about terror and all that. The very fact that these writers from the NYT and WSJ can walk the streets without being buried in rotten fruit and vegetables shows you just what New York City is composed of.
