American presence in Iraq is more dangerous to world peace than nuclear threats from North Korea or Iran, U.S. Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., said to a crowd of more than 200 in North Miami Saturday afternoon.

Murtha was the guest speaker at a town hall meeting organized by U.S. Rep. Kendrick B. Meek, D-Miami, at Florida International University's Biscayne Bay Campus. Meek's mother, former U.S. Rep. Carrie Meek, D-Miami, was also on the panel.

War veterans, local mayors, university students and faculty packed the Mary Ann Wolfe Theatre to listen to the three panelists discuss the war in Iraq for an hour.

Murtha and Kos and currently pursuing the Sheehan trajectory: she began as an apparently flawless avatar of Democratic talking points - the grieving mother of a slain hero.

She was revealed to be an unhinged, egomaniacal, starf***ing moonbat.

Kos was supposed to be a bright independent and web-savvy progressive srategist who would lead the Democrats to a new generation of voters. He is now revealed to be a scummy, payola-grafting loudmouth who hangs out with stockfraud pimps and weirdo astrologers.

Murtha is supposed to be a retired marine colonel of great bravery and integrity who is reluctantly entering the spotlight to challenge injustice. He is now revealed to be a self-promoting, bribe-soliciting grifter with a clear agenda of trying to parlay cowardice into a Majority leadership.

I checked the main newspaper (The Johnstown Tribune) in Murtha's district and did not see one word of this reported. I just hope the voters in his district are getting the news from other sources because they won't get it from the Tribune.
