Presidents who cave into unfounded theories that have no basis in fact are an even more serious problem

Bush is calling the envirowackos' bluff.

He doesn't believe in Kyoto or greenhouse gases any more than Bill Clinton believes in abstinence.

I am a little concerned about the latest turn of events as far as his enviro positions go, however this whiffs of a Rove Master Plan.

Ok, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on the political aspect of this. I just hope he doesn't put it into action on a policy level to appease the liberals, who will hate him no matter what he does.

Bush: Climate change is 'serious problem'

I guess at different times in earth's history that would be so, but outside of polluting the drinking water table, man has almost zero power or control.

On one hand, the hot air that the President just released in his statement creates a warming effect to contribute to greenhouse gas.

On the other hand, the reflective surface of the Vice President's bald pate creates a reflective cooling effect otherwise known as a Global Albedo, or radiational cooling.

Equilibrium has been attained.

"The truth of the matter is, if this country wants to get rid of its greenhouse gases, we've got to have the nuclear power industry be vibrant and viable,"

Dear Mr. President, I think I would prefer not to get rid of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and water vapor.

The beginning couple sentences of his remarks are a little incoherent, to say the least!

Remember when dad said he wanted to be the environmental president? And signed the freon ban, costing all of us a sh*tload of money when we got our auto A/C repaired? And it's not over. Wait about 6 years from now, when your home's central unit needs coolant/repair.

Read my lips: Man is NOT causing [real or imanged] climate change.

I hope this is some kind of clever fake out of the enviro wackos. Because I barf everytime I hear "global warming", the patron saint of socialist and socialism.

"I have said consistently that global warming is a serious problem."

That sentence muddies the water.

I'm more inclined to Skyy than Jack. Not having any tonight, though.

First of all, if human activities aren't materially contributing to the problem, then there are no solutions. But if thinks we are contributing, then he should say so.

If global warming is a real issue, regardless of cause, we can be making plans to take advantage of the expected changes. The greenies want to put the brakes on everything in the mistaken belief that they can maintain status quo. That flies in the face of previous history on the planet. We have ice ages and warm periods. The right thing to do is anticipate the upcoming state and get as much leverage as possible from our foreknowledge.

He kind of admitted to it when he formed the Asia Pacific group, no ? I have a bad feeling about the
Supreme Court decision on the EPA.

And signed the freon ban

Dude, Freon was banned in 1987 by an international treaty. Poppy had nothing to do with it.
