Thanks for posting!
The President is a leadership and protection of the USA role. While he has a veto power, it can be overruled.
The President's Power at its summit is as Commander in Chief. Guiliani works for me.
McCain doesn't work because he has something deeply imbedded in him from being a POW. He can't shake it. It interferes with a strong and correct mindset. It makes him wobble.
Up here in the tundra, I ask if people have heard of George Allen. No one I ask has heard of him.
Anyone who says Hillary Clintong is the be all, end all of the '08 election has already conceded defeat... or has other motives... I do not believe the liars in the media... Julie-Annie is a stalking horse for the left...
Too bad so many Freepers are in bed with the Slimes.
You believe the spoon fed left wing media propaganda?

All the Republican candidates are in the single digits except for McCain.
There are no candidates, nobody but the left wing media has declared anyone is running...
So every single poll is wrong because Giuliani is on top? He's topped every single poll out there and each one is wrong? People are tired of the same old Democrats and Republicans right now - they want new blood and are looking for change. Things may change by the time 2008 rolls around.
This is why Giuliani doesn't stand much of a chance at all. When I've got politically astute people like Freepers telling me that they "believe he will take a back step" on a major issue like this, you can understand why a Giuliani candidacy would generate record low turnout among conservative voters.
I don't think there are too many people who would make the effort to walk across the street for a half-@ssed candidate like this.
No, they are Constitutional enforcement issues of the executive branch...
Illegal immigration is not an executive responsibility for national security?
Of course not but it is premature to start saying things such as Giuliani is our only hope to beat Hillary. We are a good 18 months or so from the Republican primaries, a lot happen before then and after then. Our future president could be someone no one's have really mentioned. Until then, it's fun to speculate but let's not get caught up in any one candidate.
The only problem there is that the so-called "war on terror" hasn't been a major issue in Washington in quite a long time.
How quickly we forget that John Kerry probably wasn't even polling at 5% back in the spring of 2002. Everyone was talking about Al Gore, Joe Lieberman, and Howard Dean as the front-runners for the 2004 Democrat nomination.
Well I do hope more Governors get into the mix. Senators make me puke - they are a bunch of egotistical maniacs. I will not vote for a Senator in the primary.
I am tired of illegal immigration and that is what people are talking about. Language, borders, culture...
The cult of personality will address none of the three and neither will Julie-Annie...
I've seen nothing about his positions on the "One Issue" lists.
FR is probably far more conservative as a whole than most groups.
On the recent FR poll (members only) Sen. McCain at 39.7% lost to those conservative voters who selected "3rd party" (37.1%) or "sit it out" (11.3%)
If McCain can't win the support of those here who should be a conservatives natural base, can he really be considered conservative?
I would never vote for that swine.
You're dreamin', man. George Allen hasn't got a prayer of defeating Hillary.
Right now, I see two, and ONLY two, Republicans capable of beating Hillary in 2008:
1. Giuliani - this is less a matter of politics, and more a matter of "street smarts". Giuliani may be the only Republican out there who is quick enough on his feet to counter Hillary and the full weight of the mainstream media which will be thrust behind her.
2. Tom Tancredo - this is 180 degrees the opposite of #1. Tancredo has THE issue for 2008, he OWNS it among Republicans. No one can "get to the right of him" on illegals and the immigration issue. It is the hottest button of hot-button politics, and with it, Tancredo can explode onto the national political scence, crossing numerous political "fences", and win with it.
But the others, especially no-names like Mr. Allen? C'mon....
