Rick Roberts has been on topic about the fact that the Mexican flag is flying along with the American flag at the San Diego County Fair, at the Durante entrance.
Well, what other flag would they fly?
I've seen a lot of flags of Israel flying in local evangelical churches, I don't think they are Jewish.
They do the same thing at Padre games.
Sound's like Arnold is losing his state ...
I went there last week, and I have to say that ICE needs to make a raid on the workers at some of the eateries there. Other than that, I didn't see the flag, and had a good time.
Let me know when they fly the Mexican national flag over an upturned U.S. flag like they did during the immigration protests, then I'll be irritated.
An employee at the fair wanted to climb the pole and cut the Mexican flag down. Rick held him back to save the kid's job.
Then it will be too late.
I'm just glad I don't live in that region - beautiful place, ugly politics.
Rick had someone check that out, the PR person for the fair confirmed it was the Mexican flag.
It's already been posted and debunked. It was the San Diego County flag. The FReeper that took the original photo admitted to the mistake.
The criminal cartels running Northern Mexico made an example of four LEOs a few days ago by cutting off their heads.
Whew, my blood pressure can go back down then.
Might as well pull the thread?
Someone ought to correct Rick so he won't continue spreading false rumors.
Someone's over-sensitive here. They fly the Canadian flag when Canadian sports teams visit -- why not the Mexican flag at an event that legal Mexican vistors are likely to visit?
Because Canadians aren't conducting a reconquista of the Northeast.
If they were, flying their flag at the Maine State Fair would also be a problem.
It didn't happen so it really doesn't matter.
Wait, I demand the right to be offended over an event that didn't really happen!

That is the correct response. Thank you.
San Diego is a red county (Bush won 52-46). So is Riverside the next county up (57-41). So is the one next to it, San Bernardino (55-43) So is the county on the other side Orange, (59-39). All of them huge counties, all of them solid Republican.
Just burned a few little paper Mexican flags, left over from no illegals day, to cheer me up. Worked well!

(Chile on top, Texas on bottom).
Thanks for filling me in - it's good to hear that not all of California has gone crazy.
I hope you folks are able to hold onto what you've got, it'll be interesting to see what 'the colors' look like in ten years.
I'll try to be optimistic though!
Perhaps if this whole 'anti-electoral college vote' thing goes through, you folks can thwart them dems yet again...
California is a lost cause but many states will follow.
Nope, look at a blue/red map sometime. California is solidly CONSERVATIVE in most counties. However, the counties with the largest populations are liberal. These few heavily populated liberal areas dominate the rest of the state in voting power.
I think there might be more of a move to the right in our future. Note that the recent "tax the rich" propositions lost...and we have a dem candidate for Governor promising to raise EVERYBODY'S taxes.
That's because John Moores is a Limosine Liberal. To start the 2005-2006 season, he had Jimmah Caw-taw throw out the first pitch.
Your right! That's because of the Military population that are stationed there.
California is already lost. how many to follow? Who knows.
No we're not.
What kind of attitude is that?
The state flag or the POW-MIA flag would be nice.
Well, I guess I'll enjoy some of this here crow now....
I actually wish you well. I lived there for 30 years. I hereby retract my statement, but I had had enough of Mexifornia.
Now, I'm REALLY mad!!!
LOL.
No big deal. This is not new.
Tee offical web site for the fair has a specific link to comment on the flag issue. Not sure why they'd have this if they weren't flying the Mexican flag?

Thanks for the link. You are right, it wouldn't be there if it wasn't an issue.

This is the response a patriot got from the Fair Management when an e-mail was sent asking why.
Thank you for your e-mail. The Mexican flag is flying inside the fairgrounds, near the Horse Arena. The American flag is between it, and the flag of the state of California. The American flag, as is proper protocol, is flying higher than the other two.
Many of our permanent and temporary Fair employees are Mexican. Many of the people who compete, exhibit, show or sell here are of Mexican descent, Nearly 20 per cent of our Fairgoers are Mexican. We are partners with Mexican media, and sponsors. For the first year we have a Hispanic Information Officer. People who work here and speak Spanish wear identifying buttons as a courtesy to our Spanish speaking visitors. We fly the flag of Mexico because we are proud of our partnership with Mexico, and out of respect to the people from Mexico who both visit and work at the Fairgrounds. I hope this answers your question.
They have posted a place to send your comments about this issue on their web site. I guess they have gotten many complaints. Keep them coming.
