The Migrant Workers of Park Ridge
CNN reports on a speech by New York's junior senator:
Appearing before a religious conference earlier this week, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-New York) told the audience that as a child attending Sunday school she would baby-sit the children of migrant workers so that their older siblings could join their parents at work.
"I was fortunate that at an early age, through my church, I was given the opportunity to expand my horizons," Clinton told the 600 adults and teenagers attending the Sojourners "Covenant for a New America" conference.
Mrs. Clinton grew up in Park Ridge, Ill., a tony Chicago suburb that as of 2000, according to census data, was 95.4% white, had a median family income of $87,795, and had a grand total of 174 families (1.7%) below the poverty level. How many migrant workers could there have been for her to baby-sit for?

I expect her to start toting around one of those coffee table Bibles Bill used to flash when he needed to re-brand himself as a good ol' boy Baptist.

This sounds similar to the story BJ Bill Jefferson Clinton told at Rosa Parks Funeral. I remember as if it were yesterday...I was a nine-year-old Southern white boy who rode a segregated bus...When Rosa showed us that black folks didn't have to sit in the back anymore, two of my friends and I...decided we didn't have to sit in the front anymore. It was just a tiny gesture by three ordinary kids...
To: pabianice
There could have been legions of migrants there to baby sit. It happens when an unlicensed driver pops themselves into their uninsured automobile and drives where they can read none of the road signs.

It sounds as if the Hildebeast was aiding and abetting child labor, and helping the family working right through the Sabbath, too. Why didn't she work in the fields herself, so one of the kids could take a break?
To: GeorgefromGeorgia
She is also a life long Yankees fan. I hear she hunted and ran a trap line to help feed her family as a child.

Not to threadjack but I think the Dems' biggest problem is their unwillingness to throw one - JUST ONE - charlatan over the side even if it's a lesser light. William Jefferson would be a recent example but there are so many. It would give some small indication that they are on speaking terms with the truth.
Whenever confronted with irrefutable evidence that they are wrong, however, they immediately hit out and slam their hands over their ears. I dislike Michael Savage and his show, but this consistent group behavior really does make me wonder if liberalism is a mental disease.
No matter how much I disliked the man, if they had jettisoned Bill Clinton (and of course his ballbusting harpy 'wife' [quotes intentional]) they could have reinvented themselves as 'the party of reform' or 'the party of honesty' and continued on with their free-spending ways, possibly even gaining a majority in one or both houses. Instead, they listened to the James Carvilles of the world, got played for suckers and now face more time out in the cold.

Here's the problem. These people are amoral. Probably 99% of folks in America were taught from an early age that lying was wrong and it'll catch up with you sooner or later. The other 1% were the Clintons and their ilk. So she can say anything she wants, the most blatant lies, and folks in the audience think "this has to be true" cause no one would bald faced lie in front of all of us.
Then, when her statements are proven false or questioned these same folks defend her because they can't believe they were gullible enough to be fooled. Kinda like the Hilter thing. You know, you see these crowds of Nazis cheering Hitler then he dies and there's not a Nazi in Germany. Go Figure.

For some reason, this reminds me of that photo op at a hospital where she refused to be anywhere near sick children. Instead, she recruited kids of the hospital staff for her photo op and, with the willing cooperation of her MSM lapdogs, claimed they were patients at the hospital.

This woman will continue to say and do what she damn well pleases as long as the left-wing press does not call her on the unbelievable crap she comes up with. We here at Free Republic can wring our hands and minds to no avail... the people who will vote for her have no desire to challenge her lies. This is surely a sick woman. Actually, an evil, hateful one. To hell with her!!!

True enough, but more precisely an out and out demagogue thus very dangerous. If only 1% of the tales about this woman are true she belongs in jail, not in office. Further, twenty five (25) lashes with a Cat-o-Nine Tails is probably in order. However, that would require more strength than our present populace would appear to be able to muster. A nice catch phrase might be "Hillary to the Pillory!!!"

And just how long did Sunday school last? And how did the parents work out the logistics? Did they work with the little papooses strapped to their backs until 9:00 in the morning and then run into town real quick, drop off the planned and wanted children, and then run back out to the field and then ran back into town an hour later when Sunday school was out and then run back out into the field to finish the day's work?
What a bunch of peanut brains.

This is right out of the husband's playbook. She won't be called on it.Bingo. Did you read the whole article? The author just runs with the story as if it was a straight news story. Incredulously, the author posits the potential for harm this story presents for Hillary, not because she runs the risk of being caught telling yet another bold-faced whopper, but because her left-wing base might be repulsed by yet another of her faith-based anecdotes of her upbringing.
What a world they live in. Curiouser and curiouser.
