I'll try to find a pic of the fat feline. Sounds to me like Rat is getting the short end of the stick at mealtime.

"How do you get a cat to exercise?" she asked.

Stop feeding him and make him hunt down and kill his own food. He'll get real thin, real quick.

Could this 'fat cat' be descended from a MaineCoon? [Actually, the cat in the picture doesn't look all that fat, just big!]

You might be right. I found another pic, and he appears to just be "big boned". (That's MY story, and I'm sticking to it).

Awwww, Chester is just a big ole guy! I wonder if he's got Maine coon in him.

Bacon and Hap have two big orange boys, and together they don't weigh what Chester does.

lol, my cat can give him some pointers. I stopped feeding him in an effort to run him off. He just started killing his own food. I wish he would leave but I guess he just loves me too much.

btw, this cat just showed up one day. Ny mom started feeding him when she fed the dog.

It might be a trick of the camera or a deceptively small boy, but Chester's head looks freakishly as large as that little boy's head.

That photo was shot with a wide angle lens, which makes things in the distance look smaller and more distant than they really are.

Oh, and the idiot newspaper photographer left his other camera sitting on the floor in the background.
