Bosnian Foreign Minister Mladen Ivanic Wednesday evening in Belgrade voiced his country's readiness to further expand ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

And Mladen Ivanic is now a Bosniak rather than a Bosnian Serb?

LOL.

The Republika Srpska is being dissolved - we've made perfectly clear to all but the most thick headed that the Bosnian Serb's military conquests and ethnic cleansing would never be legitimized with statehood.

Never.

So the Bosnian Serbs can hold all the polls and referenda they want. They're SOL as far as independence goes.

the existence of the Serb Republic-which Muslims and Croats say was created on genocide and ethnic cleansing

If it were so, one would think that Muslims and Croats would LOVE these nasty Serbs to break out.

Seriously, the only real act approaching genocide was the 1995 massacre of Serbian Krajina [pron: Krayeena] done by Croat/NATO forces with some Muslim participation.

Why don't you want Serbs to separate? Do Croats and Muslims love them so much that they do not want them to leave?

Typical Islamofascist/Dhimmi tripe. If the Muslims want independence, all others can be cleansed but no self-determination for anyone else.

For his part, Jalili voiced Iran's keen interest in being a partner to global efforts to materialize peace and tranquility through enforcement of justice throughout the world.

Expressing his satisfaction with the current high level of bilateral cooperation [with "Bosnia"], he noted that the two countries share many identical stances [yeah, right!].

From its beginning as an "independent nation", BOGUS "Bosnia" has had very signficant involvement by Iran, especially in providing arms to the "Bosnian" muslim army (with clinton's help). So this new agreement with Iran, the most dangerous country in the world, is just more of the same. It is too bad that "Bosnia's" Serb foreign minister is forced to play a dhimmi role.

I favor all three--a free Sprska, a Serbian Kosovo, and a Serbian Montenegro (for example, after less-coerced elections a few years from now, as happened in Ukraine). That makes me what the foreign policy and journalstic elite call "a hard-liner". However, this is yet another example in which that term is very much mis-applied, since we "hard-liners" have much more compassion than the "human rightsers" with their very harsh prescriptions for Southeastern Europe.

"The Republika Srpska is being dissolved - we've made perfectly clear to all but the most thick headed that the Bosnian Serb's military conquests and ethnic cleansing would never be legitimized with statehood."

Well--by the same token, should Croatia be allowed to hold on Krajina which was ethnically cleansed from Serbs ?

Should Kosovo (which was also ethnically cleansed of Serbs)be allowed to secede from Serbia ?

What about Western Poland and Western Czech Republic previously populated by ethnic Germans expelled from there by the end of WWII ?

How about Mexicans streaming across the US-Mexico Border claiming that their return to the land "Stolen" from Mexico in Mexican American war ?

Now if we go into realm of simply national interests, why should the United States support Bosnia and Kosovo--two Balkan Islamic states in the making ? After 9-11 and reading a little bit of a literature on "The Religion of Peace", I am not enthusiastic to see more Islamic states appearing on the world map, especially in the Europe's tinder box called Balkans.

Milosevic surely was a thug, but he (and his regime) is gone now, so I don't see a iota of reason to be supportive of Balkan Islamic states.

Why don't you want Serbs to separate?

Because that would be rewarding criminal behavior, much more so than any of the other options on the table.

So it ain't gonna happen.

Like the Krajina wasn't cleansed of Croats back in '91? Please - the Serbs were happy to start ethno-race wars and live with the results until it all blew up in their faces, but blow up it did, in Croatia, Bosnia, and Kosovo.

So much like the Sudeten and Silesian Germans, the Serbs are just SOL, and have nobody to blame but themselves.

So you are opposed to rewarding the KLA criminals with the Serbian province of Kosovo after all, eh toothless one!

I see, so being forced to stay with Muslims and Croats is a punishment? Are Muslims and Croats punished or rewarded by this forced cohabitation?

The Bosnian Serbs attempted to create a monoethnic state in Bosnia for later anschluss with Serbia.

It ain't gonna happen, regardless of how you frame your objections.

The Albanians are attempting to create a monoethnic statelet in Kosovo, the Bosnian Muslims and Croats were ethnically cleansing the Serbs before they turned on each other, and Croatia created a monoethnic state as well.

Then in Macedonia the Albanians, helped by the Kosovo Albanians have created ethnically pure areas in the northwest and cities and villages are ethnically separating into Albanian and Macedonian sections.

But only the Muslims and Croats are rewarded for their ethnic cleansing.

Serbia is the most multiethnic country in the Balkans where freedom of movement and full rights for minorities are most adhered to in comparison to the other countries.
