Planned Parenthood Abortion-Ban Panel Declares War on Pro-life and Abstinence
Concerned Women for America ^ | 7/5/06 | Laura Jamison

Planned Parenthood, the world’s largest purveyor of abortion, held an abortion-ban panel in Washington D.C. launching the organization’s plan of action against the growing pro-life and pro-abstinence-education movement in the United States. The panel took place on June 22.

South Dakota and Louisiana have passed abortion bans, with Louisiana’s coming into effect only if Roe v. Wade is overturned. The panel primarily debated these states and others considering bills or enforcing laws regulating abortion services.

Jatrice Gaiters, president of Metropolitan Washington Planned Parenthood said, “While we are working on prevention these ruthless attacks on reproductive freedom will affect all of us wherever we live…We must ask ourselves: Are we ready to sacrifice women for a political ideology?”

“Sadly, women, like young Holly Patterson, have had their lives sacrificed by Planned Parenthood’s unconscionable abortion practices. Countless women have suffered from abortion complications, including death. And yet these activists place access to abortion above women’s lives,” said Wendy Wright, President of Concerned Women for America (CWA).

According to a Planned Parenthood fact sheet, the organization considers eight states as having “extremist, anti-choice legislation.” These states are Arizona, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma and Utah.

The so-called extremist Michigan law mandates that a physician performing an ultrasound on a woman seeking an abortion offer to show her the ultrasound and issue her a copy of it. Pro-life supporters say that those opposing this law are denying women the ability to provide informed consent through access to the truth and reality of an abortion.

The Kentucky Legislature approved a law requiring that counseling be given to women orally and in person at least 24 hours before an abortion.

Gaiter and other panelists addressed the need for political action so women would not have their “reproductive freedoms subject to [pro-life] whims.”

“It is critical that Maryland citizens get up and vote only for those candidates that are dedicated to fighting for birth control, emergency contraception and all of our reproductive freedoms,” she said.

Sarah Stoesz, president of the South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota Planned Parenthood said the best way to destroy the pro-life movement is to “not take the bait of … the anti-reproductive rights movement and instead to bring the matter to the people of South Dakota.”

However, Planned Parenthood’s own polling panelist, Al Quinlin said, “This is a very conservative place, and when most [South Dakotans] have the choice to be legal in most [abortion] cases or illegal in all [abortion] cases they tend to tilt toward the illegal side by about a 10 or 12 point margin.”

The panel also expressed strong opposition to the abstinence movement.

“You would be very surprised, as I have been, to see billboards saying chastity, virginity or abstinence…,” said Stoesz. “There is a great deal of momentum in the so-called abstinence movement.”

According to the Guttmacher Report, which is published by Planned Parenthood’s research arm, more than 15 million new cases of sexually transmitted diseases occur each year, more than 3 million of them are among teenagers. This demonstrates to thoughtful observers the need for an approach other than Planned Parenthood’s “safe-sex” programs.

Another abortion ban panelist, Joshua Vlibarri, said the abstinence movement is keeping “people from enjoying themselves and from being their own person.”

The crowd roared with laughter as Stoesz mocked the idea of abstinence until marriage, claiming it demeaned women’s sexuality and is an interesting “cultural aspect of this debate.”

“As news has come out of Planned Parenthood’s massive money stockpile, profits accrued by encouraging promiscuity then reaping the rewards of women’s health problems, it is no wonder that they mock purity,” said Wendy Wright. “They ridicule the healthy lifestyle that is the greatest threat to their business.”

I have a theme song for planned parenthood and all people who perform abortions.

It is "The Money Rolls In" by Oscar Brand.

Part of the song goes like this:

My grandmum sells prophylactics.
She punctures the end with a pin.
My granddad does abortions.
Look how the money rolls in!

They are organizing to fight the pro-life movement because they are losing battles. They fully realize it's only a matter of time until they lose the war and that time is definitely coming. Unfortunately, there will be many more innocent lives lost before it happens.

So killing babies, by abortion, is a reproductive right? How do you reproduce if you kill your unborn children? How can that be a "reproductive right"?

Another abortion ban panelist, Joshua Vlibarri, said the abstinence movement is keeping “people from enjoying themselves and from being their own person.”

It is not enjoyable to have Gonorrhea, herpes, uterine cancer brought on by HPV, to be used and tossed away, or infertility later in life brought on by some of the previous listed items.

The crowd roared with laughter as Stoesz mocked the idea of abstinence until marriage, claiming it demeaned women’s sexuality and is an interesting “cultural aspect of this debate.”

It is demeaning for a girl or any woman to give her body away to someone who has not honored her by a committment of marriage. It is demeaning to 'service' a man for free . . . only to tossed aside for a new beauty. I believe there used to be a word for this sort of 'prostitution' without pay and to be one of those is demeaning and devaluing.

If the feminists hate men so much and despise that women don't get paid as much as men at times, the logic would follow that women who give themselves to the 'enemy' for no money would be the greates of insults. Amazing the hypocrisy of this all.

"So killing babies, by abortion, is a reproductive right?"

Guess I'm too simple minded. I always thought the choice was exercised on the front end when the baby was created. What they really mean is they want a choice not to live with their first choice.

Tragically ironic that they have to live with anyway, just in way that damages their life and destroys the other life.

Almost hilarious ! Are they gonna pay gigolos and whores to seduce the chaste.

Actually, cervical cancer is spread through sex. Clearly they want to encourage death as much as they can. When will people learn ,planned parent hood is an organization dedicated to getting rid of anyone who is not elite. Fewer women are having abortions. Planned parenthood misses the money it makes off of abortions and the sell of baby parts. It is time for people to lock up their daughters.

I always thought the choice was exercised on the front end when the baby was created. What they really mean is they want a choice not to live with their first choice.

Exactly. The choice was made when the woman or girl decided to have sex. What they are really saying is we want a law that allows us not to pay the consequences of our actions that came from a choice. We will murder to not pay the price or our choices and we want to have this murder legalized (and we will screw with people's head and call THIS MURDER the choice.) This sort of manipulation is evil and more and more people are setting aside their blinders that have allowed this massive manipulation to survive and ruin our society.

Think of all the American children that have been aborted since the 1970's. Think of all the scientists, artists, mathematicians, doctors, dancers, writers, political leaders . . . and on and on and on that we have lost, because of this massive mind game. When in reality it wasn't CHOICE at all it was just legalizing women to murder because they didn't like the result of their choice to have sex. PERIOD.

I hope you all don't mind. I wrote a still in rough draft form poem a while back. I am sharing it here, as I see maybe this is a group that might be able if nothing else to appreciate the passion and meaning intended in it. It is intentionally written without punctuation in the style of WS MERWIN who writes poems to nature.

If the line breaks are odd it is because they didn't hold in the pasting. On paper these lines are in two line couplets.

TO THE UNBORN

Old spirits

we sweep you as crumbs into the garbage and dissect you for our lives to stumble on longer

we that missed the vacuum, a suctioned bullet have no memory of how we moved into line to live

you may have been the one that was to hold a shaky man’s hand who mumbled death and kept him going for another year long enough to change the world

we demand more for ourselves not wanting these small savoir moments as our missions so undesirable, so insignificant, so necessary

but it was you, the one I murdered that was to alight me again on the day my flame faltered and died

but you weren’t there you were a only a tiny forgotten scrap in the corner of my soul your only words carved in my gut to reach me

you are all lights and will never gather as a salve to the killing, to the great illusion--choice--you may have even fought for your own demise without knowing if you had lived

young death is expected we watch the sunrise in slivers we will not know the full cast of their light--our Eskimos, our teachers, our mornings.

“'As news has come out of Planned Parenthood’s massive money stockpile, profits accrued by encouraging promiscuity then reaping the rewards of women’s health problems, it is no wonder that they mock purity,” said Wendy Wright. “They ridicule the healthy lifestyle that is the greatest threat to their business.'”

Planned Parenthood makes a profit, but still has received $3.7 BILLION from our TAX DOLLARS since 1987. So I called my reps' office, and backed it up with the following e-mail:

"It was nice chatting with you this afternoon.

As I said I would like (insert Reps so and so) to introduce a bill to stop government tax dollars from going to Planned Parenthood. Here are a couple of links which state that Planned Parenthood makes a profit, and how much money they receive from taxpayers. I would think that this would be unconstitutional, as well as immoral.

Here are the links, with snippets:

1) "Since 1987, Planned Parenthood has now received a total of $3.9 billion in taxpayers' money, Sedlak explained."

http://www.lifenews.com/nat2327.html

Also, from the link:

"New York, NY (LifeNews.com) -- Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion business, made nearly $900 million last year, according to its most recent annual report. The report showed the pro-abortion group made its second-highest profit ever and set new records for the number of abortions it did and the lowest rate of adoption referrals compared to abortions.

According to its records, Planned Parenthood had a record income of $882 million dollars and a profit of $63 million, the second highest it has ever recorded."

2) The following article shows profits from Planned Parenthood, and at the same time tax dollars given to Planned Parenthood in the last seven years ALONE:

"In fact, in the last seven years alone, Planned Parenthood has earned profits – or built a surplus – of more than $350 million.

In that time period, it has been given government grants of nearly $1.5 billion."

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=48455

If you or (insert reps so and so) want to know the "ins and outs" of this, a good person to contact would be Jay Seculo, www.aclj.org. Jay Seculo has been a guest on Sean Hannity's radio and tv shows.

As a matter of fact, I have called Seculo's radio show myself.

Thank you for your interest."

If anyone wants to copy this e-mail and send it to your reps, please feel free to do so.

Over the years as I've studied this issue, prayed about it, talked about it, and given to the cause of life, I've reached the conclusion that it is impossible to dialog with these people. The average American person goes around, fat and happy, blithely unaware of the silent holocaust going on around him or her.

Women who have had abortions generally embrace an alternate reality, usually foisted upon them, which when accepted severs the maternal bond. This alternate reality is the one in which the act of a woman's abortion did not take a human life.

Therefore to even BEGIN to discuss reality as it is is, for far too many, to accept some rather disturbing facts about themselves, their past, and their objective moral status. They have unfinished business - and the former abortion supporters who do finally face the truth often become some of the staunchest proponents of women and unborn children.

For that reason, "we" must continue to pretend that the act of abortion is a victimless crime. We can talk about legal definitions, esoteric ideas about "personhood", stare decisis - anything, ANYTHING to avoid discussing what every woman knows in he heart.

Thoughts?

"For that reason, "we" must continue to pretend that the act of abortion is a victimless crime." In other words, continue to support the lie that promoted the heinous behavior? Sorry, I can't buy that one because truth is what sets people free and the abortion phenomenon holds too many under bondage through a lie to the spirit.

You know that, and I know that yes. I meant to speak as though from the perspective of the dominant media-, pop-, and high- culture.

We must continue hammering away - realizing that we are talking to people living in an alternate reality. It's easy to whack someone over the head with the 2x4 of truth, as a friend once said, but more effective to pry gently but steadilty with a steel crow-bar.
