World War V ended with the all of the Berlin Wall. Wars get named what the press and the academics wind up calling them. It winds up being a consensus of the owners of Established press and publishing entities. This one will be the WOT until its nature as a real war becomes manifest to even the NYT, as it will.

One of these days the Islamists are going to bring down the Sears tower, or plant a suitcase nuke at the base of Hoover Dam. Then maybe we'll wake up. I am not optimistic, based on our feckless behavior since 9/11.

Actually we DO have some pretty good ideas. Some of 'em are workin' pretty well in Iraq and Afghanistan.
We do have issue at home with a population that has not been mobilized for the war and internal enemies waging "lawfare" on our military. We need to mobilize the people, demonize the enemy (they ARE demonic), and hang some lawyers.
