July 8, 2006 - Hundreds of Israeli and Palestinian supporters held demonstrations tonight in Westwood in response to recent violence in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian backers holding graphic signs showing Israeli soldiers involved in the conflict prayed outside the West L-A federal building.
Across the street, pro-Israel activists staged a counter-protest, waving American, English and Israeli flags and displaying al-Qaida signs and fake rockets.
Israel launched an offensive almost two weeks ago after Palestinian militants carried out a brazen cross-border attack on a military outpost, capturing a 19-year-old Israeli soldier.
Palestinian officials say Israeli troops have killed 32 Palestinians in two days of air strikes and artillery barrages.
The pro-Palestinian terrorist sympathizers carried no American flags whatsoever. Their contingent was composed of the usual suspects, ANSWER, CAIR, and the assortment of other pro-Islamofascist lobby groups and apologists for terrorism. Their message was anti-American and anti-Israel.
The counter-rally was organized by StandWithUs.com. This counter rally turned out to also be an anti-terrorism rally with lots of American flags and Israeli flags. Among this group were also a number of Republicans, Protest Warriors and a few Freepers as well.
The numbers for both crowds were approximatley the same; estimate of 125-150 people for both sides.
Some of the PLO terrorist appeasers were quite angry when they saw the Protest Warrior sign that I brought along ("Islam...Religion of Peace") One PLO "chick" called my sign disgusting. I told her that I agreed with her because the acts that are commited in the name of Islam are quite disgusting. She was also baffled that I was wearing my t-shirt that was printed in big letters "Infidel" in both English and Arabic. I told her that I was proud to be an infidel and I was quite happy to walk around with a shirt identifying me as such (hey what the heck...they already hate me anyways; might as well make it official!) She then demanded that I take my sign down as I was waiting to cross the street to join the good guys. I reminded her that she was in America and that I would carry my sign anywhere I damn well pleased. Freedom of speech always trumps sharia.
Finally, the AP news report inplied that we patriots who rallied against terrorism were carrying al-Qaida signs. You will see from some of the pictures posted later on that these signs were the Protest Warrior signs and a couple of anti-terrorism YAF signs that read "Never Forget." AP has some pretty stupid reporters if they think that our signs were "al-Qaida" signs. The fake rocket used by our pro-Israel supporters also had a message of anti-terrorism. You will see this in the photos below as well.
Anyways...I'll post some of the photos from the Friday rally at Westwood in this blog posting.

Anti-Israel protest FRIDAY July 7 - WE ARE COUNTER-PROTESTING! YOU ARE NEEDED IN L.A.
As you can see from these pictures, we had a great time out here supporting the concept of freedom, peace through strength, and defending the values of Western Civilization.
I see one of the islamofascists holds a sign that reads, apparently, "No more killing in our name!"
Along with pretty much everything else, they have no sense of irony, too.
I want an Infidel tshirt..where can I get one?
I noticed that too.
You can purchase an Infidel t-shirt at Life, Liberty, Etc.

Thank you!! I will get one for my Hubby too! I love it!
That girl holding the Israel forever sign is one hot jewessessessessssssssssss.
Count me in with the Israel supporters. The pro-Palestinian crowd are a bunch of haters and hypocrites. They do nothing but whine about the evil Israelies, while openly supporting terrorist killers. Their supposed pleas to humanity are laughable, in view of what they support.
Yeah, I agree. If I was not married, I would readily convert over to Judaism just for her! :)

Got taht right. LA, I quess.
"Olmert Threatens 'Long War' To Free Israeli Soldier Held In Gaza"
and...
"He said the operation was not "on a timetable". "We're talking about a long war," he said, as the army's southern region commander threatened to pound Palestinian militants for "months"."
Works for me...
Why didn't the pro-Israel side chuck some eggs or feces at that Palestinian "Right to Return" banner?
I don't think the pro-Israel side needs to sink down to the level of the Islamofascists. Besides...LAPD had a good representation of officers out there.

The Worst Defense (David Horowitz)
************* excerpt ***********************
It is the worst possible defense because it violates the very foundation of our liberties, the social contract on which all our liberties depend.
We live in a democracy. That means we live under rules for adjudicating our differences both in peacetime and in war. Before all the laws that make us who we are is the primary fact that we are nation of laws. Breaking the law does not protect the law. Breaking national security laws betrays the nation; it does not defend it.
The government leakers who provided the Times with the information that won its reporter a Pulitzer prize, are conducting a war against the very system the Times is claiming to defend. This is an unacceptable way to dissent from national policy, and no excuse can be offered for it. It is an act of violence against our democracy and the Constitution which governs it.
Outstanding job DogByte! Thank you all for being there!
Great pics and great people...those muslim drones got something to think about...they look stunned.
You are beautiful. Every one of you who took the time to stand up for Israel, and the US. God bless you. I wish I could have been there with you, and would have been were I anywhere near LA.

Well that's nice...I guess
Here's to my sistas....Jewish chicks rock!
I praise you folks getting out there and voicing your opinion......in Mpls. people are too scared to get out and make signs like yours, specific and defining Islamic peoples etc. Our Protest Warriors are great though, small as they are, no complaints, but even the Jewish community here doesn't get out and do anything in terms of "signing"....keep it up. Keisha
Thank you Veronica...that's probably the nicest thing anyone has said to me in a quite a while. It was an honor and a privilege (and quite fun too! Everybody on our side was happy and in high spirits) to join fellow patriots and freedom lovers in Westwood to support our Israeli friends.
Great Job to all involved and BTTT with this report
Click the pic for another great after-action report!
Thanks for the tutoring on posting the pics HTML...
As you can see...I have graduated!
- am I right in thinking that we should, perhaps?, as you have, refer to the peoples of Israel as "Israelis" and not just "Jews"?
Are not the "Jews"? descended from the Tribe of Judah - but other tribal descendants, Israeli?
i.e., Judah, that is, the Jewish people of today, are only one of the tribes of Israel - and while all Jews are Israelites, not all Israelites are Jews.
So should we not use the term "Israelis"
