I think I missed something. I didn't realize we are currently and strongly advocating...

"We" aren't advocating anything. The poster made his own point that "IF" guilty they should be handed over to the local government.

execution for all rapists currently incarcerated in American prisons...

If they are found guilty of murder as well, including a child under 7, and the rape of a teen...i'd go for that.

and if so, if said execution will be in the style of the two soldiers recently killed.

I don't think anyone has proven those soldiers were part of this incident-they were victims of a sick insurgency and sadly some will believe they had something to do with it if some other members of their unit are found guilty.

Personally, I don't like these "hand them over" advocates.

And thats your right to express your opinion. I just wanted a clarification if it was a posters right to express his opinion that IF found guilty they should be handed over to the local government or if this opinion somehow violates the terms of service of FR.

I don't know if that was the case or not, I was just wondering if that was the case. But once I started to think about it, it was alright with me. I've seen more than one post on more than one thread suggesting we hand over any guilty party before a charge had been leveled.

..the stone cold evil that is a stench in the Middle East does on occasion make our troops act like Iraqis or Saudis or Syrians or Iranians etc...

-----------------------------------------

So, A) You say they're guilty and B) you say it's not their fault, it's the environment.

That is how your statement reads.

This "case" raises many questions and provides few credible answers. The affidavit -- as examined in another thread -- that led to Green's arrest, is full of contradicting "testimony."

But more than that, I am sickened and fed up with the trolls on this site who impugn our military based on what the treasonous media reports.

I am glad that at least one of those trolls has said, Buh-bye.

Each and every accused troop is innocent, until PROVEN guilty... that would be with hard evidence.

And thank YOU for posting the Ben Stein article. Ben always helps to restore perspective.

There are so many heroic and humanitarian stories to tell on our troops... where to begin? ... and SandRat faithfully posts them here every day.

BTW, I feel that the murder of an entire family is a horrible tragedy. I am not heartless to the suffering of innocent Iraqis, they have paid a great price.

You are exactly right. The media and terrorists are a mutual aid society. Until the facts are confirmed, assume it's all BS.

I'll always support our troops heroic and humanitarian role in peace and war.   If our military isn't on the front lines protecting our butts, who is?   What chills me to the bone is the MSM and dopes like Murtha. They'll give front page headlines and air time of allegations, pages of crap about our troops in shackles, but after proving innocence, maybe page 19 in small print.

Another Perspective
How Was Your Weekend?
By Ben Stein
Published 7/6/2006 12:09:31 AM

All of this happened over the Fourth of July weekend.

'I got an e-mail from the mother of a Lance Corporal in the Marines named Tyler Jackson. He is accused of murdering an Iraqi civilian and covering it up, along with some other Marines. Until recently, he was being held in leg irons in solitary confinement at Pendleton. He was questioned for weeks before he got to see a lawyer.

A few weeks ago, a historian sent me a long article about how the terrorists are fighting us by cooking up these horror stories and paying people to pretend to "witness" them. Either they "witness" U.S. atrocities or they get their heads cut off. The British in Iraq have found out that almost all of these accusations are false. I wonder how many months will have to go by until we learn that some of these accusations against our men are false.

In the meantime, how can it be that the Supreme Court is worried about the rights of Osama bin Laden's driver in court, but no one is raising a finger about the rights of Marines who offer their lives to fight for us and then get held in leg irons when there is an accusation against them? How can this be?

How can it be that in the mainstream media, you will NEVER see a soldier's photo on the front page unless he's charged with a crime, as Wlady asks.

Glorious America, time to figure out who your friends are, I thought, and then looked at the stars. We are still a free people, thanks to men like Griff and John and Danny, and when one of their colleagues is accused of wrongdoing, let's show some darned respect.

Last I heard, it was innocent until proven guilty."

Ex-Soldier's Defense Lawyers Request Gag Order for Almost
Everyone Involved in Iraqi Rape Case

LOUISVILLE, Ky. --  "Defense attorneys for a former Army private accused of raping and killing a young Iraqi woman requested a gag order Tuesday to stop just about everyone involved in the case from discussing it.

Steven D. Green's attorneys said in a motion filed in U.S. District Court that the gag order is necessary because "strong and inflammatory opinion is rampant" in the case.

The attorneys want the order to apply to trial participants, attorneys, civilian or military law enforcement officers or investigators. They also want it to include President Bush, the attorney general, secretary of state and secretary of defense and their subordinates."
