Paying In Blood For Liberal Arrogance
GOPUSA ^ | July 10, 2006 | Justin Darr

Posted on 07/10/2006 9:36:49 AM PDT by 300magnum

If there is one trait that defines Liberalism, it is a hatred for consequences. No matter what the circumstance, Liberals are either trying to ignore, avoid, or blame others for the consequences of their own actions. Normally this would not be a problem, everyone should be free to live as goofy a life as they please, even if it happens to entail stumbling about blindly within a fog of their own self-delusions. However, the problem with Liberals is they cannot just be content with screwing up their own lives; they have to screw up the lives of those around them as well.

If a woman runs around and has unprotected sex, Liberals think the child should be killed because it is unfair to make people live with the consequences of their lack of morality. If someone had a bad childhood and has an unnatural hatred for the cherished beliefs of others, Liberals feel we should ostracize Christianity from society so these misfits do not quite so poignantly feel the sting of missing out on Christmas. Illegal immigrants should be granted citizenship so they do not have to deal with the consequences of ignoring immigration law. Disabled loved ones should be euthanized because selfish family members do not want to deal with their care. And, homosexuals should be allowed to marry because they do not want to acknowledge that two beings of the same sex cannot breed.

Reality is the greatest threat to Liberalism, not Conservatives. When reality comes crashing in, and Liberals are forced to see the consequences of their half baked ideas, their first response is to blame someone else for them. Normally, the people who get blamed will be the ones who said their ideas would never work in the first place, but since the Libs hate them, they make a convenient scapegoat. That might sound like an oxymoron, blaming others who said your ideas would not work after they have been proved right and your ideas did not work, but it far easier for Liberals to lash out in overly emotional incoherence than admit they might have ever made a mistake.

So far, the only victims of Liberalism have been our society, culture, children, and way of life in general. However, this soon may change in the face of the international war on terror and nuclear proliferation.

If it was not bad enough that Liberals, headed up by Appeaser-in-Chief, Jimmy Carter, drafted the treaty that North Korea promptly ignored and developed nuclear weapons under, they are now complaining that the treaty did not work, and blaming Bush for it. Evidently, they do not feel that the United States has appeased the psychopath leader of North Korea quite enough, so off we go to the United Nations to learn the true meaning on international diplomatic incompetence. As we speak, the leaders of nations North Korea is not pointing nuclear missiles toward are deciding the fate of those who do. Perhaps, if we are lucky, the UN will get really tough with North Korea, and in addition to a press release expressing "regret" that North Korea is practicing its incineration of Tokyo, and order the United States to send 52 American hostages to Pyongyang to guarantee our good behavior.

Speaking of 52 American hostages, Iran, venue of President Carter's last diplomatic victory for Liberalism's cause, is going to develop nuclear weapons, as well. This time, the Bush Administration is doing what the Liberals want, and engaging in multilateral negotiations with a country that is the wellspring of global international terrorism. Not to be the pessimist, but they are not going to work. Iran is doing to pursue the development of nuclear weapons until either they have them, or someone destroys their nuclear production capabilities. We can stand around and negotiate forever, and this fact will not change. Liberals like to pretend that negotiations are an end unto themselves. That somehow, if we talk long enough, and give a hostile enemy concession after concession, peace will mysteriously erupt. The fact that negotiating with rogue regimes is no more effective today than it was in the days of Neville Chamberlain is lost on Liberals. Faced with the reality that the problem is not Iran's poverty, infrastructure, or need for alternative fuel sources, but the radical terrorist regime running it, Liberals have once again chosen to blame Bush and the United States, in general, for objecting to Iran's desire to "wipe Israel off the map."

At no point have Liberals joined the threads of together and realized that we are doing the exact same thing with Iran that we did with North Korea. If there is ever a negotiated compromise to the current crisis, all it will do is give the Iranians a few years to secretly violate the treaty and then drop their fully developed nuclear capability on the world as a fiat accompli.

Liberals are not only ignoring the consequences of their previous decisions, but arrogantly proceeding down another reckless course that will only end in disaster. Just as "The New York Times" has decided there will be no negative consequences to their divulging America's innermost secrets in how it fight the war on terror, simply because they have decided there will not be any, the international community is gambling that their failed methods of the past will somehow now work with Iran and North Korea. My question is, how many millions will have to die before the Liberals admit they were wrong.

This was a great observation!! [It's a shame the English isn't quite up to snuff. Suggest: ". . . deciding the fate of those who are in the cross hairs."]

No matter what the circumstance, Liberals are either trying to ignore, avoid, or blame others for the consequences of their own actions.

The classic example of this is in Southeast Asia. "Withdraw," we were told, "and let the peace-loving Vietnamese villagers go on about their lives." "No," we cautioned, "Abandoning our allies will result in a bloodbath."

We withdrew. Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge moved in. Blood flowed.

The Liberals were silent. They had already found someone else to "save."

I read a freeper's post about the definition of insanity.

Insanity = doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

I have to post this e-mail I received just to let you get a peak of the liberal mindset. Get ready it is typcial liberalism and still ... it makes my blood boil. I will also include my response.
Here goes:

"You Must Be A Republican If...

>>>>Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.
>>Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when
Cheney did business with him, and a bad guy when Bush needed a " we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.
>>Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is Communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.
>>The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.
>>The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches, while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.
>>If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.
>>A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.
Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy, but providing health care to all Americans is socialism.
HMOs and insurance companies have the best interests of the public at heart.
>>Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.
>>A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense, but a president lying to enlist
support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.
>>Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages
and censoring the Internet.
>>The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but George Bush's driving record is none of
our business.
>>Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.
>>You support states' rights, but the Attorney General can tell states what local voter initiatives they have the right to adopt.
>>What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant.
>>Feel free to pass this on. If you don't send it to at least 10 other people, we're likely be stuck with more Republicans in '06 and '08"

In response....

I find it fascinating that these folks criticising George W. Bush with such hatred, not to mention flat out lies, don't bother to intellectually address the subjects. They are quite good at yelling out the cute little soundbites instead of engaging in any meaningful debate. Perhaps they could move to the blue segments of the country where they would be more comfortable in their fantasy land. I think they refer to us as "Jesusland". I'm good with that.
Yes, I daresay Jesus does not approve of the homosexual lifestyle. He dislikes all sin. Not to say that He or we hate anyone tho. Gee --do you think they can figure out the difference? I doubt it. As for Iraq, I guess
they prefer to ignore the thousands upon thousands of people dying in Iraq as saddam built up his arsenal instead of feeding the people. I guess the rape
rooms don't count and the attempted assassination on our US president GHW Bush doesn't matter to them. They must be ignoring or can't read the ongoing and recent reports about these very WMDs they claim Bush lied about. Sarin? Mustard gas? No big deal. Afterall, it was a democrat who just said "why those are nothing worse than the stuff under your kitchen sink." God help us!!
They seem to have forgotten Iraq defied 16 UN resolutions prior to the war, continued to fire at our planes throughout the "no-fly" zone. Dang those pesky
facts keep getting in the way of those cute bumper sticker lines.
Frankly anybody stupid enough to defend communism is well just stupid. Yes, too bad China has all that technology that clinton sold to them making them much more of a threat than "cuba". These folks might want to review and explain the Bay of Pigs episode if they think cuba is such a friend of democrats.
Slashing the military and CIA was a direct action of the clinton administration. The resulted shortages had to be rebuilt because clinton cut those areas to balance the budget. Wasn't that nice? We got a "balanced budget" out of it.
Are these idiots really and truly condoning passing out condoms in schools???? They obviously don't understand that even condoms won't protect against herpes and HPV which are the leading viral stds out there with NO CURE. What a novel idea that sex should be considered sacred and special. Self control and discipline??? What is that???
Belittle long time allies??? I need way more information. I guess it sounds good to just say we just want their money, tho.
Gee, I did not realize the US was providing healthcare to all Iraqis, let alone denying the same to Americans. Flat out lie. This country has the greatest, advanced, albeit, capitalistic and thereby expensive healthcare system in the world. Check out those socialistic medical services and see how long it takes to get care. Then come back and complain to me about this country, ok??. NO ONE is denied
healthcare in any emergency room in this country. Do your homework. This country provides more free services, primarily from the private sector than anywhere in the world.
Iraq has established their own government thanks to George W. Bush. They will establish their own policies. Incidently, It has taken NYC longer to build a memorial to 911 than it's taken Iraq to REbuild it's entire country. I am trying to think how long it took this nation to establish all of it's laws and constitution after we
won the War of Independence. Oh you mean it didn't happen over night? You mean we got there thru blood and sacrifice? Interesting that even back then the liberals were saying "just give in to the British rules and laws...we just want peace". Left to them we'd be English subjects, not Americans. Do these people understand that? nah! Too difficult to understand history. And not nearly as fun as not really knowing what your talking about.
I guess they are admitting their hatred for the Bible being taught in schools, which says alot, although they really ought to go back and look at the words of our Founding Fathers on the subject. Check out the Mayflower Compact while you're at it. Oh that's right. Nah! Too much trouble.
A president lying under oath is indeed an impeachable offense regardless of the subject matter. And to continue to LIE that "Bush lied" to go to war is so unbelievably stupid when clinton, kerry, gore albright, burger, kennedy, rodham-clinton and the entire world agreed on these matters. It's all there if they'd just look back a ways. Try "google", it's all there.
To support a guy getting blowjobs in the oval office, shoving cigars up the crotch of an intern, cheating at golf games, on his wife, ripping the w's off of computer keyboards when leaving office is laughable. Not to mention the really serious matters of pardoning FALN terrorists, Marc Rich, selling missle technology to China
for campaign $$, doing nothing when bin-laden struck 3 or 4 times, and now the North Korean debacle where they were totally hoodwinked (albright's words), clinking champagne glasses with crazy Kim...just great. That's clinton's legacy.
But this guy, gets their undying support and respect. Unfrickenbelievable.
No WONDER they have ZERO, credibility in trashing a God loving Christian man like George W. Bush, who takes his job and position seriously. Honors and adores his wife and country. It is fascinating to me. I can't help
wonder if this is similar to the "scales over the eyes" as mentioned in the Bible.
It comes as no surprise these people consider marriage as nothing sacred, applying it to those of the same sex. They probably think polygamy and beastiality are fine too as long as it's not "hurting" anyone. Make love not war takes on a whole new dimension, doesn't it, with this new crowd.
I guess censoring pornography on the internet so children can't access it at the public library, is indeed too much to ask for from these free thinking imbeciles.
Bush's driving record and everything about the man has been an open book for all the world to see. That happened just days BEFORE the FIRST BUSH VICTORY. He still won. (with more votes than bj ever got I might add). We ARE discussing it aren't we? Hardly a big secret. About those hillary billing records tho...
Wasn't it patrick kennedy who just had an incident regarding drugs and alcohol??? How long did teddy kennedy leave MariJo under water to drown during his drunk driving experience??? Don't even go there. These folks think they are cute and clever but we "republicans" remember the truth.
Local voting initiatives??? Huh????? whatever...
I could care less what bj did during the 60's. Something about "trying weed but didn't inhale"?? Yea, right. Who cares? I really don't.
All I can say is based on what I have just read, I am very glad that the grown-ups are back in charge and pray, yes, pray, that "republicans" continue to lead this great nation. They may ignore the facts, but the unemployment rate is lower than ever, the economy is better than ever, despite a war, 911 and katrina. This administration has even done MORE than their favorite bill clinton did on any environmental matter, although he talked a good game. Freedom taking hold in the middle-east,national security...yea, those are good things.
To the liberals, tho, what is good for the country is bad because they hate Bush more than they love their own country.
Something about "ignorance can be treated but stupidity is terminal", comes to mind.
Frankly they make me sick. Like I said above, they may want to check out the map attached and move.

Feel free to "pass this on".

A lot of us have been quoting this classic statement by Albert Einstein. It describes the insane mental behavior 0f the Lunatic Left of America and the world.

Excellent oped, and thanks for posting it.

"If there is one trait that defines Liberalism, it is a hatred for consequences." They think there should only be consequences for white male conservative Republicans.

"However, the problem with Liberals is they cannot just be content with screwing up their own lives; they have to screw up the lives of those around them... "

This is SO TRUE!!

The reality is "liberals" are just simply smug, arrogant, self-righteous fascists and deluded self-appointed "do gooders". They are Nazis.

All of the "liberals" that I know that always claim to be "for the people" or "the children" are always contemptuous of you as an individual and cannot be depended on ever for any support or help of you as an individual. They're usually never on time either.

The MSM basically had a news embargo on the slaughter you mentioned above and all over Nam. I didn't really know about it until a friend left the CIA in during the Carter years. He told us about the slaughter and how the mediots ignored it.

Libs are constitutionally incapable of connecting the dots OR learning from past mistakes. For that reason and many others, I find them some of the scariest people on earth.

If we're foolish enough to allow them back into power in the midterms or in '08 there's little doubt in my mind that we'll pay dearly for it.

This is just a great analysis and should be printed and emailed all over the USA. Force the public to remember all the times liberal policies have failed and put this nation is danger. Then, domestically, write another article to show their failures there. People just forget and the Left never, never apologizes for their mistakes and failures.

Absolutely right on. I've seen Liberals act like this over and over again. They take their nutty ideas and force them on everyone else. When things inevitably go wrong they blame everyone else but themselves. The sheer arrogance of these people is appalling.

Well, let's look at their record:

Besides the programs you described, let's add

-- Gun control
-- Public education
-- "Free love"
-- Abortion
-- "Affirmative" action
-- Feminism
-- Unions
-- The Gulf War
-- Crime
-- Sex education

And the list goes on.

I think you answered your own question.

Jack, who do you hang out with that forwards this crap on to you. It's worse than porn spam!!

A little creative editing and I'd shoot it right back to them:

"You Must Be A Liberal If...

>>>>You recoil at the name of Jesus, and you love homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

>>Saddam was a bad guy when Clinton randomly lobbed a few cruise missles at him as a "Monica Lewinsky" diversion, but a good guy when the US attacks him to remove a terrorist supporting dictator from the Middle East.

>>Trade with Cuba is great because the country is Communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is evil because the factories fail to pay a "living wage".

>>The United States should kiss the @$$ of the United Nations and be more like them.

>>The best way to destroy military morale is to call the troops rapists, murderers and baby killers on television, in newspapers and in the halls of Congress in speeches, while pretending to care about veterans' benefits and combat pay during an election year.

>>If condoms are passed out in schools, abortion will be available without parental knowledge or consent when the condoms fail.

>>A good way to fight terrorism is to befriend them.

>>Saddam provided excellent health care to all Iraqis, as he was a benevolent democratically elected leader.

>>HMOs and insurance companies are evil while a giant, bloated socialist healthcare system would be just peachy.

>>Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are absolutely scientifically supported, but students' exploring alternatives to the gospel of evolution is a threat.

>>A president lying about an extramarital affair is an badge of honor and courage, but a president protecting the country from terrorism is a fascist.

>>The Constitution is a living document which can be bent and twisted to support any perversion, but only the military should have guns and the Constitution outlaws any public mention of religion.

>>Hillary Clinton can lie and obfuscate about FBI files and whether she is a Yankees fan, but we should be able to make all sorts of allegations about George W. Bush, even if they are made up.

>>Being a drug addict is a a disease and not your fault. We should burn incense and hang crystals for your recovery.

>>All individual rights should be subjugated to the state and we should not count the votes of anyone who is not a felon, on welfare or illegal.

>>What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is none of our business, but what Bush allegedly did in the '80s our business, of course--he's a Republican!

>>Feel free to pass this on. If you don't send it to at least 10 other people, they might take leave of their senses and vote Demonrat in the next election!!

There, much better!

Absolutely, the elite white racists in charge of the NY Slimes, Compost, LA Times and of course ABCNNBCBS had no problem setting up the killing fields in SE Asia. Then they spiked all news of the killing fields.

The elite white racists who control the MSM and the rat party are the true racists of the world. They finance abortion and push it third world countries, glamorize the deady gay sex life and set up holocausts like they did in SE Asia. Now, they want to do the same in Iraq and Israel.
