Your rights end at my nose, which include the offensive fumes from your cigarette. If you want to light a cigarette and then swallow it - fine. That is your business. Your smoke irritating my mucous membrains is my business.

No, I believe smokers have acquiesced quite enough to you antis. You abused their good will. And rather than be satisfied with the fair concessions you received, your side decided to pursue a strategy of biased studies and lies to further persecute smokers.

It is incredibly easy to avoid smoke now. Stay out of bars and restaurants that allow it. Stay out of designated smoking areas. If you are unable or unwilling to do that, then take your lumps.

People that live with terrorists are more likely to go up in smoke.

Is it really made of cheese?

No, silly, it's made of rocks. The Batmen that live there said so.

UH OH........I must be a bad parent or something...my kid hardly ever gets sick, doesn't take pills, and only has similar seasonal allergies as her mommy and daddy (couldn't possibly be genetic now, could it?) For the impaired - my comments are meant sarcastically,

Your kid gets allergies? Gabz, you have to quit having your daughter bringing in that flower pollen! Get some plastic flowers for once! Heck, I'm surprised I didn't have any respiratory problems. I lived in a multi-channeled environment outside. Depending on the wind direction, we could get the smells of the potato sheds, the feedlot, the paper mill, and lots of odor things.

"Children who live with smokers have more respiratory complications during surgery during the Full Moon, with a Red Headed Anesthesiologist and Left Handed Surgeon. "

Since when did Carrot Top become a doctor??

You are right, my post contains nothing about abortion on a thread about smoking.

What I don't understand is why hernia repair and circumcision are lumped in with middle-ear draining, etc. since the first two are almost always performed on newborns who could have had only limited exposure to STS while ear draining usually affects children of early school age.

As usual, the article is not the report published for the medical community and we here are tempted to go off half-cocked. (No pun intended)

I live a little insulated life I guess. Most all of my family (grandparents and older) smoked. Most of them died of heart attacks and strokes. The few still alive were saved by paramedics, etc. They are now dieing of emphysema in their 80s. So I have no stats for you, but it is clear as day to me.

I've sat in meetings in 20x50' rooms with thirty people who were chain smoking and it would be two hours after I got out before my eyes would work again.
Oh you're making that up. Everyone knows breathing smoke and smoke in your eyes is harmless and what do those doctors at the childrens hospital know? They don't care about childrens health, they're just after more money.

If you want the truth about what smoking does ask a smoker...You can spot them a mile away, they're the wrinkled grey ones with brown teeth.
