Three cheers for the good guys! What has become of the Democratic Party where they can nominate a pompous, liar like Kerry?

Filmmaker Carlton Sherwood says the outcome shows the suits were frivolous complaints filed by Kerry operatives to try to block the film's release in the final weeks of the presidential race.

Lost another one. :-)

There's no way Kerry could have let this go to trial. The facts would all come out and he would have nowhere to hide or blame it on a right-wing conspiracy.

He said the suits were dropped as depositions got under way.

Gee why wouldn't they want to be put under oath?

These veterans voted for the lawsuit, before voting against it.

Hard to claim damages when all that the authors did was publish the truth.

He fought for the South, before he fought for the North.

Was this the original flip-flop?

Does the phrase "You are not recommended for reenlistment" have any meaning or is it standard on all discharge letters?

Sherwood continues to press his defamation suit against Kerry and campaign aide John Podesta. The lawsuit charges they conspired to block the film's release by labeling him a "disgraced journalist" and "Bush hack." The Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. canceled plans to air the full documentary on its stations before the November 2004 election.

I think the same scenario will happen with the Plame suit.

I hope the judge throws the book at them for a frivolous lawsuit.

Interesting, the Globe states, "Sherwood, an investigative journalist who lives near Harrisburg, worked in the administration of former Republican Gov. Tom Ridge."

They failed to mention that Carlton Sherwood is a higly decorated Marine Vietnam veteran who was wounded three times and spent more time in the hospital than Kerry did in Vietnam and insisted on going back to his unit after he got out.

I sent a contribution to Sherwood's defense fund.

"Sherwood, an investigative journalist who lives near Harrisburg, worked in the administration of former Republican Gov. Tom Ridge."

Are they to to imply he is bias or something? Shameless..

PHILADELPHIA --Several Vietnam War veterans who sued over a documentary about Sen. John Kerry's anti-war activities have dropped their libel suits, leaving just one lawsuit pending over the controversial 2004 film.

Very misleading first sentence. It leads the reader to believe that one of several similar lawsuits is still pending after others were dropped. When in fact the 3 that were dropped were dropped by Kerry supporters who sued the filmmaker. The one that remains is a suit by the filmmaker against Kerry and Podesta.

Perhaps the Boston Globe did not want that to be real clear.
