It's mindless and the STUPID people keep putting these godless imbeciles back in position, election after election after election. I'm to angry to say more ... or I'll get banned.

This was never intended to pass. It's sole purpose is to force House members to take a public position on the issue.

Melissa Bean (D-IL) voted against the ban even though She Represents the most Conservative district in Illinois. SHE IS TOAST!!!!

LOL..Harold Ford, Jr. voted for it. He must be running for another office. Don Imus and Chris Matthews are deeply saddened.

It won't be dealt with at the state level if the Supreme Court decides to force it on everyone just like they did with Roe.Marriage is supposed to be dealt with on the state level. One can formulate circumstances for any situation, but that's where it should be dealt with and where it will be dealt with. By your rationale, we shouldn't even HAVE a SCOTUS because we can imagine them doing anything in the post-Roe era, though I've seen nothing about the Roberts court that scares me about that outcome.

"We need to SHAME those Republicans that voted against this."
Well, Schwartz of Michigan voted NO, and he is in a tough race with a strong conservative ( Tim Walberg) in the Aug 8th primary, in the very conservative 7th district !
We can get rid of that slug with no danger of losing a seat in Congress.
Everyone in Michigan's 7th district...Be sure to vote for Walberg Aug 8th!! Vote early and often.

I prefer to think of them as guys who feel themselves a little bit "above" their constituents. Bass and Kirk are two excellent examples of this variant. In the case of Gilchrest, his brother was a sodomite so therefore the nation must recognize homosexual marriage.

Interesting that Ohio's Sherrod Brown (running against Mike DeWine for a senate seat) and Ted Strickland (running for governor in Ohio) were both MIA for the vote. Seems like a convenient way to avoid controversy.

Let's create a government for the people and by the people. That was tried somewhere once. Guess it didn't work.

yeah, a good time to step out and grab a sandwich for those 2.
To: RonF
I suspect it means he's in a tight election this year, and he doesn't want to make either side really mad at him-so he admitted only to being in the room (present).
