AmerenUE is calling in a mutial aid program, basically a hurricane program calling in workers from outside the ameren service area.

Main Terminal at Lambert: operating at 1/3rd capaticy, Looking a video of the roof ON I-70 Eastbound, 3 tractor trailers overturned at I-270 and riverview on the chain of rocks bridge blocking Eastbound 270, on 370 at the discovery bridge into St. Charles.

Stop Light poles are down all over downtown, and the switzer building collapsed with bricks landing on the eads bridge closing the bridge.

My wife is traveling east bound on I-44 and just stopped for the night in Sullivan, Missouri. She will resume on I-44 east in the morning and connect with I-55 north in St. Louis.

Do you know of any problems with those routes?

Wow, what time did this blow in? I fly out of St Louis today at 4:40pm when it was a pleasant 100F outside with clear skies and wind out of the east (which is rare).

Hate the whirly jigs. We could always pack up and leave Lower Alabama for the cat 3+. Can't see this stuff coming.

Sounds like she'd be better off taking I-255 around the south end of St. Louis.

St. Louis (KMOV) – Storms are moving through the Metro area, creating dangerous winds, lighting and severe storm conditions.

Wind gusts as high as 84 mph have been reported. 4 Warn Meteorologist Kent Ehrhardt warns this is a very dangerous storm system, with damaging winds, large hail and up to 5 inches of rain per hour.

There have been reports of roofs being blown off of homes and the rooftop restaurant at the Millenium Hotel has reported the windows in the restaurant have been blown out and people have been evacuated. Also, there are reports of a student trapped in a car at Lindenwood University and a tree has fallen on the car.

The National Weather Service Doppler Radar continues to indicate a strong rotation in a thunderstorm which could produce a tornado at any time.

The storm is moving rapidly to the south toward the Potosi area.

It's a little farther that way but I read that I-270 is a mess and I-44 connects with I-55 right down town. I'll tell her to take I-255. Thanks.
