It looks like she handles the handguns well though.

No idea. I have fired Ar15s, CAR15s and full auto M16s and never encountered that.

The only thing I didn't like about that video is that she was wearing that Soviet T-shirt.

Yeah, I like that second link as well. I haven't had much time behind any gun since I went to my last Boy Scout summer camp at age 19, which was 7 years ago

I love Range Day ... cept its pouring like a bastid today and can't get there.
Oh well, I'll clean the house today and spend the whole day there tomorrow.

Love M1A's (better than those AR pieces of junk). ;-)

(Flame suit on).

Yeah, aesthetically-speaking, I like the M1A better than the AR/M16. I haven't fired either though!

I have fired all including a full auto M-14 (which is better than the M1A IMHO). Each has their own place.

I have my marksman expert badge using the M-16.

Isn't a full-auto M14 hard to handle?

"Yeah, aesthetically-speaking, I like the M1A better than the AR/M16. I haven't fired either though!"

M1A (.308) beats AR's (.223) any day.

Man you gotta get to a range sometime and try it ... its definitely a "BLAST".

It is the same as the civilian 308 round. The weapon is pretty heavy so it was not as hard to handle as you might think. If it was chambered for the 30-06, I think that would be a different story.

Ah ok. I got that impression from this line on Wikipedia: Also, because of the M14's powerful 7.62 × 51 mm cartridge, the weapon was virtually uncontrollable in fully-automatic mode.

I also had a friend with (A FULLY LEGAL) full auto Mac-10 45 caliber. Hammering away at a target with that in full auto was incredible. Could not hit the side of a barn, but a blast to shoot.

Why the Soviets knew any invasion on American soil was doomed from the get go.

Unfortunately if the Dims and the pantywaists have their way, this will no longer be the case. Sigh.

I just have to add my 2 cents. One day in the summer of 1964 at FT Polk LA, I fired 840 rnds, from a M14 select fire, on FA, with and without a bi-pod. I learned, no more than 3 rnds on FA, off hand, before the front sight was about 45 degrees toward the sky. Using the bi-pod, dug into a log, sand bags or similar, in the prone position, was a blast. The M-14, aka "The Last Steel Gun" is a jack hammer.
