Document http://18.104.22.168/Released/07-24-06/ISGQ-2005-00022470.pdf that was written sometimes after the Iraq war talks about an Iraqi dissident named Abu Abdallah who says that Iraqi WMD were moved to Syria before the war on the month of 10 Mouharam (Islamic calendar) i.e. March 10. The document was apparently reviewed by the Department of Defense as you the word D.O.D (in Latin letters) written on the side of the document.

Dear Respected Sir
Warm salute and then
To review with regards and please and return the document to Mrs. Mona after the translation with thanks.
To the Respected Responsible for the bureau of follow up and coordination.
Subject: We have information about the location of the Weapons of Mass Destruction
In the day of 10 Mouharam before the coalition forces started the war on Iraq, 50 trucks for land transportation entered Syria on an intermittent convoy. I met some of the drivers and they did not know what they carried in these trucks. These trucks were loaded from an unknown location in Baghdad and was brought to the drivers and the Iraqi Intelligence was with them. Each time they crossed a certain distance, the Iraqi Intelligence stopped them and asked them what are they carrying and their answer was we do not know. And when these trucks arrived to Syria in the area of Deir Al Zour the drivers were taken out of their trucks and the Syrian Intelligence ride instead. These trucks were entered into large warehouses and when these trucks were emptied it was given back to the Iraqi drivers. And they were given a reward worth of 200 dollars for the safety of arrival. One of the drivers mentioned to me that this was second time they carry these secrets loads and the first time was 1 Mouharam.
I have a friend in Syria who works in a Syrian company as partner with a Syrian merchant. This person is an Iraqi ex-Consul in the Iraqi embassies and he resigned from the diplomatic circle and he has strong connection with the Iraqi Embassy in Syria and he knows all the Iraqi Intelligence and those knows that I work for the Iraqi opposition in Syria. I was visiting him daily during this period to find out the important news. When the trucks entered Syria I went to him and told him that Iraqi Weapons entered Syria so he said to me who told you that and I said to him I knew from my sources, and he told me to keep this confidential and not tell anyone because it indeed entered.

Thanks jveritas for all your work in translating.
Excellent job. I know the liberals would like to censor this information.
The MSM have really underestimated the power of the Internet. Plus you've got word of mouth. I know I've told a handful of people about the WMD's and they believed me:)
There's a better chance of seeing the headline "Suri Cruise: Where is she?" than "Bush was right, there were WMDs!!!"
The problem for Bush is that if he says "new intelligence shows that there were WMD's" it's still not good enough. Unless the WMD's themselves show up, Bush really can't say anything without the MSM spinning it.
And if the WMD's DO show up then the MSM and the Democrats will be in big trouble.
Not a bad idea at all :)
PS: I checked today for the ISG report on the CIA website and it is GONE!!!

Very timely jveritas. Makes you wonder just what Israel is up against, doesn't it?
Try this link http://126.96.36.199/ which is the Pentagone document website and then search for the document ISGQ-2005-00022470.pdf
If Assad attacks IDF forces in Lebanon or Israel with Saddam's WMD, Damascus will be a ruinous heap in short order.
"looks like we didn't go fast enough"
Actually, we went when we were ready. President Bush didn't delay because of the UN.
He used the UN as the excuse to delay until Putin's crews could move it. We didn't want those type of weapons left out where the terrorists could get to them before we could.
So, the Ruskies hauled them away. Not just in a convoy, for the things that required trucks, but others were taken out on planes. They used the ambulance planes (supposed to be carrying out wounded) to ferry the cargo.
Many, many trips were made to get the most dangerous stuff.
But it would have been hard for the locals to identify what was taken out as being a WMD. They were taking out the guts of warheads, canisters, piping, locked briefcases, and pretty much resembled things being taken out by everyone else.
The Russian Government and weapons manufacturers had a written plan covering the nations that, if threatened with invasion, would need to have Russian supplied weapons components that violated UN resolutions removed. President Bush knows about this document, and had a general idea of what weapons were involved.
Nobody was loading huge SCUDS into trucks. It was only the illegal warheads that needed to be taken.
The real issue we had to deal with is the issue of the amount of regular weapons/explosives, and that was more of a problem than the WMD's. Saddam had weapons depots all over Iraq, comparable in number to the public schools in our country. And each was at least the size of a football field. He had enough weapons to arm just about everyone....on the planet.....twice.
When we first went in, we were destroying 100 tons a day of weapons, and hadn't even made a dent.
The Russians removed the Chem/Bio/Radioactive components for WMD's to protect their image.
We allowed it to protect our soldiers.
We even attacked the caravan. They had a diplomat with some luggage and he got on the horn with Putin, who notified the UN that their diplomatic immunity was being violated by the US troops.
We pulled back and followed them.
We could not 'prove' what they had to the public because we could not interfere with the convoy.
But we know what they were taking out.
Keep it up!
"This is probably why the Administration is playing its cards close to the vest, to allow the left-wing moonbats to keep digging their "no WMD" hole deeper and deeper."
Let's think real hard about this theory, which I've seen expoused since right after we went into Iraq.
One thing that would almost certainly bolster support of the war in the U.S., in Iraq, and elsewhere in the world would be to show that Saddam had gobs of WMD that he could have used to threaten the world. More support -- particularly in Iraq -- would mean an earlier end to most hostilties, which would save lives, including American military lives.
So if the administration is indeed withholding solid proof of WMD for political purposes, they are very likely doing so at the cost of some lives and piles and piles of money.
Do I really think they're doing this? No, at least I sure as heck hope not. I just think they don't have anything solid to show us.
Thanks for this one! Do you have a ping list?
Freeper eyespysomething is the one who organizes and maintains the ping list on the Iraq Prewardocs, please contact her on this issue.
Another great find! Thanks for the ping and all the hard work!
That fearlessness is probably based on the MAD principal. Syria has a very capable Scud based Chemical WMD home made capability. They also possibly just recently achieved biological WMD capabilities. Saddam toys would have been very useful to the Syrians, but now they are probably integrated into Syria's WMD programs and are therefore impossible to accurately identify as Saddam's Old Toys. The facilities within Syria are very extensive. Here is a link for their Al Safir Scud Base and Weapons Depot.
Thank you for the link.
Yes, that link is actually to JVeritas' translation which came to me from another source.
It shows that his (JV's) great work is getting noticed.
AH: Here we are: a DEBKA synopsis of their reports of convoy traffic moving WMDs out of Iraq while the UN dithered:
The heavy traffic detected by General Clappers satellites was reported by DEBKA-Net-Weekly on three different dates.
DNW 97, February 14, 2003, a little over a month before the war began, disclosed: In the last two weeks, our military sources discovered that Iraq staged a major removal of its forbidden weapons systems, sending them overland by truck to Lebanon via Syria.
DNW 106, April 25, 2003, 10 days after the capture of Baghdad, reported: Though on the run, he (Saddam) retains control of sufficient stocks of unconventional weapons, intelligence, assets and money to wage war on the United States from bases and hideouts outside Iraq, where some of his WMD systems are also tucked away.
Those systems, of course, had been hidden in Syria.
DNW 107, May 2, the day after President George W. Bush declared major combat in Iraq at an end, pointed to Syria as having secretly disposed of Saddam Husseins weapons of mass destruction by hiding them in three places two in the Lebanese Beqaa and one in Syria. The first site is located in a valley stretching between the Jabal Akroum Mountains and the Lebanese town of al Qabayyat and the Syrian border; the second at a point lying between the Lebanese towns of al Labway and Hirmil between the Orontes River and the Lebanese-Syrian border.
The third site is Syrias underground military industrial facilities near Aleppo, Syrias second largest city.
Bush should address the American People directly with the facts,I cannot understand why he has not.
Your work is spreading. Thank you.
he's doing a job as best he can, rather than trying to win arguments
"It's time we recognized the nature of the conflict. It's total war and we are all involved. Nobody on our side is exempted because of age, gender, or handicap. The Islamofacists have stolen childhood from the world." [FReeper Retief]
Thank you very much.
Thanks for the ping, Salem! Good work, jveritas!
The same thing was true of Bush, Sr., no matter what egregious calumny was cast at him and his administration (most notably during the Clinton/Bush campaign,) the White House remained silent. Easily disproved slurs and pseudo-facts were dispensed daily by the DBM, the masses sucked it up, and Bush Sr. stared into a corner and wept.
The evidence for the WMD has been percolating throughout the Iraqi War, but do not ever think our current POTUS will even whimper about it.
