Special Thanks to Onyx and The Spirit Of Allegiance for organizing this event.

And to Ron Dog for his networking skills.

I thought he was going to reveal he was Superman...

The Library proudly flies the Flags of The United States of America and California.

The third flag I didn't look at closely, perhaps someone knows what flag it is.

No it is not the UN flag...

...here is a PARTIAL honor roll from yesterday's adventure...
And, we were joined by SEVERAL DOZEN California College Republicans -- from colleges all across the state -- at our traditional post-FReep "food and fellowship" -- at the Simi Valley "Elephant Bar" -- where else?
They just happened to be in town that day for a leadership seminar, and had already made plans to be at the Reagan Library, AND at the Elephant Bar afterwards -- independently from us, without either group's prior knowledge -- at EXACTLY the same time!
Great minds think alike. :o)

It was a good time, wasn't it?

You are one of the FR people that I didn't get a chance to meet, dern it.

It sure was nice to go to the library and to dinner as a group. Fantastic event.

Some of Ronald Reagan's ranch gear:

Nice shootin' iron he's got there. Revolvers rock!

This isn't a saddle he used, it was given to him by a dignitary from another country.

Here he is riding at the Ranch. Looks like English style. I was on the horse behind him holding onto and honking the horn on a Western Saddle...

I couldn't make it, I was there the weekend before, with a Boy Scout group from my town. Awesome place, and yes, you do feel as if he is right there enjoying all the visitors.

A President like this comes once in a lifetime. I am proud I got to see him once in person.

I also got to see President Nixon in person in front of Burbank High School while he was running for president. You just never forget things like that.

My family had such a great time there, my two oldest grandchildren were especially engaged in learning all that history.

It was good seeing some of the CA group again. Next time we'll have a larger crowd - we need to plan it during the cooler months - October is usually perfect.

Syncro, I was glad to see you didn't post ALL those pictures .. LOL!

I was at the Reagan Library in September of 2000. They didn't have Air Force One there at the time.

That was also the time I met for the first time some of L.A.'s finest Freepers. :-)

There were several areas where they show movies and speeches by or about Mr. Reagan. These are from the one for the Memorial Service for The President which was held at the Library shortly after his death.

Thanks for the Bump!

This Bush is at the Entrance to the Library.

It looks kinda like an Elephant, doesn't it? (There's also one at the entrance to the local Olive Garten Restaurant, MSU)

Beautiful painting of a ship, an Aircraft Carrier I believe? Any one know the name of it?

Several FR People on the back deck talking to Jim Robinson just in front of the Berlin Wall.

Driver Kris R. Sun, Mrs. Robinson, Onyx and a friend whose name I forgot. At the picnic area out the back door.

Jim was trying out Dr. Zoo's Bluralizer in this pic. It is out of adjustment as you can see.

Tomorrow I will post more pictures from the Library and some video clips. And then on to Dinner!

...Nice pics...I'm in Nor Cal but was there for the first time in January 2006....raining cats and dogs but the day was well worth it....It was an awesome and sometimes tear jerking experience.....especially standing next to the grave site...the wind howling...light rain...but somehow the skys calmed...and I could almost hear him speaking.
