Oh, of course! And that accounting will come when were required to do that, and we will post all of that information on our website, as well as, you know, with the IRS. What I don't like is this idea that they are waiting till they have to file their books with the IRS. Even a small degree of transparency, or allowing a selected group of third party person's to audit the books, would go a long way toward reestablishing confidence in the organization.

I find it interesting that somebody would demand that we have to file our books before were even required to by the federal government. We will meet all federal regulatory obligations on November 15th, just as all other non-profit organizations are required to do in this country.
That Nov. 15th filing is the one part the OBL has been too cowardly to comment on.

This is clearly a premeditated attack on the MM by the media. These reports were made exactly like Michael Moore-food's "FU 9/11"

Jim Gilchrist was on the Mark Davis show this morning (a local talk show host in Dallas) and said that he left Simcox precisely because there was a lack of accountability among the people Simcox hired to manage the books at the MMDC.
He also said, twice, that there were people in the MMDC who were there to make money, and nothing else.

humph...
Then the OBL would whine that he was wasting money on accountants and lawyers.
Are you asking the NRA for an advance preview of their FEC reports for the year? How about Heritage? La Raza?

There does seem to be a concerted effort by the MSM to smear the reputation of the "vigilantes". These are blatant hit pieces on organizations that the lefties despise.

You don't have to ask the NRA they publish their reports on line.

Another "trust me" interview. A brilliant interview, in fact.
Must make you grind your teeth...
Folks here should listen to the audio.

What's your beef? I pointed out that allowing a third party audit, or even a little bit of transparency would go a long ways to restoring confidence.

You don't have to ask the NRA they publish their reports on line. If you'll read the interview, you'll see that Simcox is going to do the same.
Bet you can't get the NRA's FEC reports in advance of filing deadlines, though.

Read the article before you post.
And they just need to be patient. You know, these things take time. Weve even now had to go, John, and spend more money to hire another auditor to try to come up with some answers for people, even before were required to. And Ill make that effort, of course, be criticized for the spending money on it, Im sure.

Which is clearly true.

Excuse me .. are people making the same demands of other non-profits ..?? Requiring them to spend extra money for an "early" audit just to satisfy the whiners and complainers who were released (or quit) because they could not run the organization the way they wanted ..??
I believe some of THOSE people were actually liberal plants - people who went to join the organization to spy on it .. disrupt it .. discredit it .. create havoc within it .. etc. Chris was right to release them or force them to quit.
Now .. they have shown their true colors .. it was all about them .. and not about the organization .. Geeeeeee! who else do we know like that ..??

And read my post. A third party auditor or persons can go over the books easily enough without getting in the way too much. The MMDC doesn't have to pay for allowing someone put forward by long standing MM volunteers.
There must be accountants acquainted with the volunteers who may be willing to take a cursory look at the books. Just letting someone in to take a look would help restore confidence because then it won't look like they're hiding something.
