I certainly hope Turkey did not let them cross this Thursday, but since this is probably only the first group, urge your Congresspeople and President to communicate our displeasure to Turkey about allowing such passage. The phone number of the Embassy of Turkey is 202-612-6700. You can give that number to your representative. If you decide to call yourself, be polite but firm about your feelings on this subject. Turkey very much wants to join the European Union, and facilitating attackers of Israel would probable be viewed negatively by many Europeans.

As can be seen, there is no way for Iran to mount a military offensive against Israel. None of those nations will permit and army to march or convoy there. Iran doesn't have any kind of serious amphibious or naval capability for moving troops. It's air force is a joke. Scores here and dozens there....maybe. But no armies.

Ha! I'll urge my congressmen to support an invasion and occupation in Iran as soon as possible. Why waste the expensive preparations that our military forces have already made and that we've already paid for?

Man, you /really/ gotta be pathetic when you're fighting to the death against Jews and all you can manage to drag up is sixty folks, half of whom wouldn't normally be considered fit for conscription.
A thousand times that number can die in a moderate earthquake. I'm really starting to wonder just how much it would really take to push over the regime of Iran. How about we blow up their oil spigots and see what happens in six months.

Good post, but one now wonders whether the Euros might not admire such crossings of the Turkish border to quash the Jooos.

I hope they didn't waste their money for the extra insurance on the rental truck. I don't think insurers pay off when the truck is blown to smithereens by an Israeli missile.

I hope they all cross. Israel can kill them all, then the sane people left in Iran can depose their govt.

Surrounded by yellow Hezbollah flags, more than 60 Iranian volunteers set off Wednesday to join what they called a holy war against Israeli forces in Lebanon. These guys are just cannon fodder. We don't know about the dangerous ones.

I remember 50,000 of them signing up last year in Iran for a mission such as this. No weapons on them, eh. I remember a JAG episode where a terrorist infected himself with some sort of WWMD germ that took effect after a week or so...

Look at it this way, if these people are flooding into Lebanon to fight the Israelis then there should be fewer available to flood into Iraq to fight with us. And the beauty of it is that Israel is not quite as PC about who and how they kill the enemy.
