BEIRUT, Lebanon (AP) - Hezbollah politicians, while expressing reservations, have joined their critics in the government in agreeing to a peace package that includes strengthening an international force in south Lebanon and disarming the guerrillas, the government said.

The agreement - reached after a heated six-hour Cabinet meeting - was the first time that Hezbollah has signed onto a proposal for ending the crisis that includes the deploying of international forces.

So does this mean they will return the prisoners? Coulda saved a bunch of damage if they had returned them on day 1.

More cracks in Hezbollah's facade...but will they release the two kidnapped soldiers unharmed, without any Israeli reciprocal prisoner release?

If not, bomb them more.

No, it means the Israelis are kicking the s**t out of them and they're running out of ammo.

Nasrallah needs to be 'martyred' and sent to Allah, to be greeted by 72 Helen Thomas virgins.

They used to talk about "shuttle diplomacy".....this is looking like "checkbook diplomacy".

The Hezbollah politicians agree... - what about the "military" leaders. And what about all those rockets?

Shepard Smith is shocked, shocked! The Hezz-buttheads are obviously in deep goat dung. The administration knew this was coming, that's why Rice is headed over.

Just when victory was at hand, as usual.

Absolutely. I don't trust this filth bags one bit.
The Arabs in the government, are now afraid the IDF is getting a firm hand on removing their scum. They can't stand the thought of loosing a few more hundred hard core Hizzy. They could give a damn less about the real innocent that where caught in a bad situation. Besides, the IDF are only targeting known Hizzy supporting villages, towns, and parts of Beirut that have been allowed to be used by them.
They always know just when to "negotiate". I do hope the IDF will be able to make it clear that they cannot just pull their units out of souther Lebanon on a dime, because they are engaged in a number of critical cleanup issues. Hopefully they will bag a few hundred more sandscum.

Absurd that some will actually think that hezbullah politicians are necessary to negotiate a solution, and are serious about doing so, when all that is necessary is for the Hezbullah leadership to return the Israeli soldiers, and agree to surrender their rockets and recognize Israel's right to exist.

Of course Hezbullah has no intention of ending the conflict, they just want Israel to stop the barrage and let the UN back in so they can regroup and start the process all over again. Using the UN as a shield

Only thing Hezobull will ever honor is the destruction of israel, anything else is to buy time to fight another day.

Can anyone say, "False Peace"? You don't change the minds of thousands of jihadists by signing a piece of paper. I'm not a fan of war, I don't think any rational person is, but I'm not a fan of allowing the enemy to strengthen, bring in reinforcements, and then go right back at it.
