Iranian leader calls Chavez a 'trench mate'

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

"I think Bush knows damned well what the Islamists are after; he just sees no reason to alarm the US public when he is directing the war overseas.)"

I fully agree with you. A lot is ongoing in terms of the far broader counter jihad war then most people have any idea.

Even prior to 9-11 if the White House had stated their long term goal was to overthrow the Taliban, then Saddam and after we secured the old Soviet air bases in Afghanistan, like the one in Herat, very close to the northeastern Iranian border, coupled with expanding and fully modernizing air bases all over Afghanistan - what would the adverse reaction have been from radical Dems on Capitol Hill and their appeasing mass media cohorts?

Iran is behind both Hamas and Hizballah, togather with Syria they fund, arm and train Shi'ite terrorist thugs which have been murdering our boys in Iraq & Afghanistan.

Israel has been directly on the front lines of this jihad for far too many years paying the highest price as a nation. Americans should be grateful Israel has opened a Western Front against Iran's terrorist war. Hamas and Hezballah goons have been going to Iraq with the sole mission to murder American and British troops. Israel is removing that exported threat we have been confronting.

"I think another 9-11 will lead to a very strong appeasement movement in this country, and I mean beyond the DNC/DU gang. My evidence of this is looking at all the appeasement going on in Europe and here, in the cases of bookstores and such bowing to Muslim pressure.

Right again! The current situation reminds me of the late 1930's Euro and American ambivalence, or out right appeasement of Nazi Germany as well as Imperial Japan.

History is repeating itself and it's being down 'live' on the TV screen, yet so many have this self inflicted blindness or just don't care. The madmen in Iran has threatened to do the very same thing Hitler stated, exterminate the Jewish people and initial use Tehran's oil profits to train a deadly horde of anti-Western Islamic serial killers.

This has not been the popular view, but I believe in relation to both Syria and Iran, the long range goal of the unmentioned Bush doctrine has always been the eventual dismantling of first, the Shi'ite branch of Jihad Inc in the toppling Iran's OPEC oil-rich, fanatical, Mahdi awaiting régime, coupled with Syria's Assad clan.

After the principle funders of global Shi'ite jihadism are dealt with, that leaves the mega-wealthy Sunni version, the Wahhabist Saudi Arabian dictatorship. Iran's vicious Shi'ite tyrants will not be captured as Saddam was. Tehran's jihadist leadership will go down with ship, in this case that ship is rather elongated oil supertanker)and take shove the American led global economy into a petrol fueled inflationary tail spin, with panic driven oil prices doubling or tripling.

The jihadist madmen in control of Iran right now are crazy enough to sabotage their own oil and attack other Persian Gulf OPEC nation oil fields such as Kuwait & Arabia's. Once the Iranians grasp their time is short, unless we are able to knock out Iran's missile installations including any SLBM's may finish them off by launching waves of missiles directly into the only natural resource bringing in billions for the promotion of the Saudis branch of Islam, the Sunni-Wabbabist cult.

Once energy traders view footage of blazing oil fields on both sides of the Persian Gulf, total market pandemonium will sweep international energy trading pits skyrocketing crude oil off the trending charts. We are hovering around $75 a barrel presently, total panic could jolt oil past $150 a barrel, while leading stock indexes will head south, and the US Dollar will quickly turn even more bear bearish then it already is. The Iranians will only use this back door economic blackmail method if they perceive the game is up for the entire rotten bunch infesting Tehran.

"This is a relatively new position for me but I don't think I'm being hysterical, merely realistic. Unfortunately."

I feel you are right on target and being exceptionally realistic, which is more then we can say about the majority.

"Hugo Chavez "a brother and trench mate." "

Just think of the size of the trench you would have to build to get Fat Bastard in; and what it would be like if that bean eater had to take a dump!

Ahmadinejad, you are right, he would make a perfect trench mate for a Susie like you!

Correction:

In a few years, he'll change that to the more appropriate "Hell mate."

If they want to get in a trench together, that's fine with me. A trench is a kind of ready-made grave, as the Iraqis found out during Desert Storm.

Anyway, considering the military habits of terrorist leaders, "bunker-mates" is more like what they would actually be.

I used to think it might take another 9-11 to wake people up. I no longer think that.

Trench mate! Just kidding, but I agree with you 100%.

If there was a terrorist attack, the Congress would not gather on the steps of the capitol to sing "God Bless, America". In fact, I could easily imagine Blue States threatening to secede unless we capitulate and retreat from the WOT. Faced with that threat, how many Republicans would cave in to the Left? Half? Most? Nearly all?

Our only hope is that there are ample Americans with a warrior spirit who will never surrender and stay the course.

Actually the translation is wrong, ol' Aminneedofabrain said 'trench foot', not 'trench mate'.

I wonder if Chavez realizes that somewhere down the road "trench mates" of Abdul Abdul Pigfornicator are gonna need lead lined jockey shorts.

Not sure, but both are heading for their 3rd strike.

Have no fear. There are far fewer appeasement types in this country than their visibility in the media would have you believe. The vast majority of Americans are of the same mindset and temperament that kicked fascist ass in WWII. We are a peaceful people and it takes much provocation for us to engage our total bellicosity, but when needed, we always do, and always will.

I certainly hope you're right, but from all I've been able to see, support for the war during WW2 was always high, even during the darkest times. Not so now, not so during Vietnam.
