Jeffers MacArthur Dodge
to the
California Assembly - District 47
Friday, August 4, 2006

"Jeffers I really really DO want to help -- you would be a great representative!" - Ann Coulter

"I am completely honored Ann Coulter chose to support my campaign and me.
She could have chosen any number of nominees or races to support and fundraise for ...
Ann believes in my unique Campaign Strategy to WIN the 47th Assembly District Race
and send another conservative to Sacramento. I look forward to sharing and discussing my strategy with you
during "An Evening with Ann" and appreciate your financial support." - Jeffers Dodge

August 4th is almost here!!!

This will be an intimate event at a location fitting for Ann -- at the Culver Studios in Culver City.
Since 1918, they have been serving the visionaries, the mavericks and the independents
of the industry, from David O. Selznick to Orson Welles to Alfred Hitchcock.
Culver Studios -- commonly known as the place where "Gone With The Wind" was filmed.

Walk the lot and you may hear murmurs that the mansion building is Scarlett's beloved Tara.

Howdy RonDog,

Thank you for the post. We're loading up the mighty FReepmobile in just a few short hours from now and heading down the coast for San Diego! We're going to attend the Hannity Freedom Concert with Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Mark Levin, Col. Oliver North, Hank Williams, Jr., Lee Greenwood, The Charlie Daniels Band, Tony Orlando, et al, in Chula Vista on Wednesday night!

Looks like it's going to be a great event:

http://www.760kfmb.com/kfmb_info/hannity_freedom_concert/

Hope to see some San Diego FReepers there!

Then we'll load up the FReepmobile again and double back up the coast to Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon and be ready for the Jeffers/Coulter event on Friday Night at the Culver Studios!

Woo hoo!!

It's gonna be great!!

Hope to see you there!!

I've often said, as if anyone cares, (I'm not fishing), "great place to visit, lousy place to live", but then one has to take into account the great Freepers that live there much less Jim Robinson, our humble servant.

I am too broke to attend even at reduced rates, but thought I would mention that Culver Studios is where Army Lt. (later President) Ronald Reagan was stationed for his WWII military service. These studios have quite a history, and the original main building and grounds have been well-preserved.

About Us - Studio History

The Culver Studios is commonly known as the place where Gone With The Wind was filmed.

Walk the lot and you may hear murmurs that the mansion building is Scarlett's beloved Tara, it is not. The mansion was featured, but only in the credits as the backdrop for the logo of the then David O. Selznick Studios. Gone With The Wind was shot on Stages 11 & 12 in 1939. In those days the studio back lot stretched south of the existing studio all the way to the hills. All the exteriors of Tara, Twelve Oaks and the city of Atlanta were created on the back lot and torched for the filming of the burning of Atlanta sequence in the film.

Yes, I know about the old backlot - mostly condos now. In fact, I lived in a condo development called "Tara Hills." Heheheh. I knew about "Mad About You" being taped at the Culver Studios - we went to see a taping of it.

Now, I'm happily shed of the condo, the cheating ex-husband that went with it, and I'm back in the Valley again, where I can offer visitors various Ventura Boulevard tours, like "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" tour or the "Earth Girls are Easy" tour.
