Summer 2006: Few Show Up for Kerry in Iowa (Take a Look at This Pathetic Picture)
Drudge ^ | 08/01/06

Posted on 08/01/2006 8:20:35 AM PDT by MikeA

Even his former running mate John Edwards pulls more of a crowd than this. And none of them appear to be under 80 years old. Poor John F'in Kerry. Guess he's not destined to be the next JFK afterall. Don't people realize he served in Vietnam???!!

At least it's more of a turnout than the Cindy Sheehan book signing.

He must have promised them free lemonade and depends for them to show up. Maybe he thought he could find a real rich widow in the group in case Thereza throws his ass out if he runs again.

To be fair, anyone who at this juncture wants to go out and see any potential POTUS candidate, needs to get a life.

Well, in all honesty if this was this last weekend, it was like 102 degrees and miserable here in Iowa. Notice how everyone except him found a piece of shade? Glad to see him squirming, though.

Oh nevermind, I guess that's his mic, not a flower. It's funny he thought he needed a mic. I guess that was for his ego to make him believe he still has the ability to turn out a crowd.

It must've been the offers for free Depends AND Metameucil and some FEMA $500 debit cards that drew that crowd.

WTF?

Surely Kerry would have revealed his Vietnam service by now, don't you think?

Where do you get your news from?

My father-in-law, who spent 35 years as a society band leader performing four or five times every week-end.

He always joked about people who don't know when they're bombing on stage.

John Kerry is a textbook example of that. He is so clueless that he doesn't even know when he's bombing (which is virtually always).

Aside from the fact that hes a complete jerk that I wouldn't walk down the hall to see, it had to have been in the upper 90s with high humidity. Maybe the old folks showed up thinking there might be a mist tent.

Knowing Ketchup Boy, he probably promised them all a $20, then reneged.

That is a long drop from the thousands that showed up at rallies when he was the Dem nominee...he must reeealllyy want to be president.
By the way, I wonder if Teresa was at this "rally".
I read where during the campaign, they'd be on the stage waiting throught the introductions when she'd whisper something in his ear. He would run off somewhere backstage and return with a bottle of water for her.
Imagine that, he's running for president, yet she sends him off like some errand boy for her water...scary how close this kept-man came to being the President of the United States!
