How much warning and blustering must we absorb, before we flatten the bastard and everything near him?

Must we wait for the mushroom clouds over America and Israel before we respond?

Ahmadinejad wants a fight now, while he thinks we are weakest.

I believe he is hoping for a "Bill Clinton" style surgical strike. Then he is justified by his "religion" to strike back but this time, unlike Bin Laden, he has the means, the $ and the network to do it.

With all of the bleeding hearts, do-gooder and procrastinators that are elected officials, the answer will probably be YES because we need proof of the country that either launched or set off the weapon. Of course the MSM will do its best to show the massacre of those "innocents" when we finally do retaliate.

I SOOOO agree with you!

About our military in Iraq, and our contractors,,,we would have to get them out. We would have to give them a few hours warning to GET OUT!

Even on a windy day, if a nuke were exploded in the air, our troops could don their NBC suits and if they are 100 miles out or more, they are probably ok. Theoretically, it is asserted that fallout could reach the US. Again, fallout rides on the wind. The most recent info we have on this is the Chernobyl incident.

The questions still remain on all the variables, but my point is: it IS possible to have healthy survivors after a nuke that is dropped halfway around the world. Was there any documentation of fallout 'effects' in the US from the bombs dropped in Japan in WWII? Now, it is only fair to say, the nukes we have now are at least 10x stronger per warhead (selectable yield), so 80x stronger than what Japan received.

Has anyone noticed that although Russia and China protect Iran in the Security Council, neither country has even hinted about jumping in and defending Iran should things get really hairy. Has there been any country/state who has said, 'if Iran gets nuked, then a nuke will be fired in their defense'...? Iran has NOT ONE COUNTRY covering their a$$$. Just a thought.

Iran's behind the mess in Lebanon - and they've pushed for North Korea's launches.

They've tried to ignite a civil war in Iraq...

So what's left? Pakistan? Overthrow the "western" part of the House of Saud?

Here's what I fear -- Iran's sifting -- who will stand with them, who won't. Who's weak, who's not -- who can be manipulated. Iran's not kidding, they're going for World War III.

How sweet it would be if Iran's nukes blew up, and the resuling cloud was blown to russia.

I think it's very possible to have healthy survivors here if bombs are set off halfway around the world..especially considering how many nuclear tests we set off above ground in Nevada.

Yes. I think the big worry, and I share this, is the troops we have around the area. The troops and the contractors and those Americans who are trying to make things better in that part of the world. Keeping those Americans safe is the complicating factor, I know. They are very, very important. I don't mean to be callous or irresponsible in my discussion.

I was raised in an era that promoted the idea that the use of a nuke would automatically result in nuclear holocaust as the be-all, end-all of humans on earth. That really isn't the case and I was just wondering if the nuke discussion was worth having. I don't pretend to know how to work the logistics. No way. I am trying to discuss what sometimes is considered the 'unthinkable.' I hope that makes some sense.

I expect Iran plans to "test" its first Russian warheads over American troops as we mass on the border to invade Iran.

Then Russia and China will have gotten its real payback for all the bomb making facilities and hardware they have given for the Jihad.

Americas front line army devasted by a nuclear exchange, 15 billion dollars...

Americas fleet having to withdraw to protect it from the Chinese silkworms loaded with nukes, breaking our supply lines... 1 Billion dollars

With the international community focused on Iran's quest to develop nuclear weapons, little attention has been paid to Tehran's preparations for a possible showdown with America and its allies. For more than a year, Iran has been preparing, together with terror organizations it controls and finances, for a confrontation code-named "Al-Qiyamah," which is Arabic for "Judgment Day." Hizbullah's unprovoked war against Israel may well be the first step in this Iranian-inspired conflict.

No, that is not a code-name it is the actual name!

"Qiyamah will come...
1. When it will be regarded as a shame to act on Quranic injunctions.
2. When untrustworthy people will be regarded as trustworthy and the trustworthy will be regarded as untrustworthy.
3. When it will be hot in winter (and vice versa).
4. When the length of days is stretched, i.e. a journey of a few days is covered in a matter of hours.
5. When orators and lecturers lie openly.
6. When people dispute over petty issues.
7. When women with children come displeased on account of them bearing offspring, and barren women remain happy on account of having no responsibility of offspring.
8. When oppression, jealousy, and greed become the order of the day.
9. When people blatantly follow their passions and whims.
10. When lies prevail over the truth.
11. When violence, bloodshed and anarchy become common.
12. When immorality overtakes shamelessness and is perpetrated publicly.
13. When legislation matters pertaining to Deen is handed over to the worst elements of the Ummat, and if people accept them and are satisfied with their findings, then such persons will not smell the fragrance of Jannat.
14. When the offspring become a cause of grief and anger (for their parents)

more from the link above about this day....(islamic prophesy)

WAR A major war between Muslims and Christians: Half the Christian army will sign a peace treaty with the Muslim army, while the second half of the Christian army remains the common enemy.

ISTANBUL CONQUERED BY CHRISTIANS The enemy half of the Christian army conquers Constantinople (Istanbul), Turkey.

ISTANBUL RECONQUERED JOINTLY BY MUSLIM AND CHRISTIANS The Muslims and the good half of the Christian army conquer Constantinople together, against the enemy Christians. Thereafter, a Christian will say the victory was due to the cross, and the Muslim will say it was due to Islam. A battle between both sides will ensue, and the Muslim Ruler will be martyred.

SYRIA CONQUERED BY CHRISTIANS The two Christian armies reunite, conquering Syria.

CHRISTIAN DOMINATION Christians dominate the world up to Khaiber (near Madinah), and they will pursue Muslims with 80 flags, with 12,000 men under each flag.

Here's a similar hadith.

The prelates will use this type of stuff to convince their followers that the "Signs of Qiyamah" are unfolding -- so why not strap on a dynamite belt and walk into a restaurant?

When you see that truth has died and people of truth have disappeared,
and you see that injustice prevails through the land;
and the Book has become despised and things are introduced into it that are not in it and it is turned towards men's desires;
and you see the people of error having mastery over the people of truth;
and you see evil out in the open and the doers of evil are not prevented nor do they excuse themselves;
and you see moral depravity openly manifest and men being content with men and women satisfied by woman;
and you see the believer silent, his word not being accepted;
and you see the sinful lying and he is not refuted nor does his deceit redound upon him;
and you see the lowly despising the great;
and you see the wombs cut open;
and you see he who boasts of moral depravity is laughed at and is not spurned;
and you see young men being handed over like women and women cohabiting with women and their numbers increasing;
and you see men spending their wealth on things other than pious deeds and no one opposes or hinders them;
and you see the onlooker turn his back on the efforts of the believer;
and you see one person molesting his neighbor and no one prevents it;
and you see the unbeliever joyful because he does not see gladness in the believer when he sees corruption in the world;
and you see alcoholic drinks being drunk openly...
and you see women occupying places in the assemblies just as men do and usury is carried out openly and adultery is praised...
and you see the forbidden things made legal and the legal things forbidden;
and you see that religion becomes a matter of opinion and the Book and its laws fall into disuse;
and you see the leaders drawing close to the unbelievers and away from good people;
and you see the leaders corrupt in their rule;...
and you see men eating what their wives have obtained as a result of their immorality and knowing this and persisting in it;...
and you see places of entertainment appearing which no one who passes them forbids them and no one is bold enough to put an end to them;
and you see a worshiper only praying in order that the people may see him;
and you see the experts in religious law devoting themselves to things other than religion, seeking the world and leadership;
and you see the people living together like animals;
and you see the pulpit from which fear of God is enjoined but the speaker does not act in the manner he has enjoined others to act;...
and when you see the tokens of truth that I have taught, then be aware [of the advent of the Mahdi] and seek salvation from God."
-- The Sixth Imam Jafar As-Sadiq (as)
