"Is it better to expunge Web sites that actively raise money, openly recruit killers and incite violence, or leave them in place for law enforcement agencies to monitor?"

Expunge.

Guess this means John Dingell can't run campaign ads.

Eventually they'll figure out that there's loads of places to hide - YouTube broadcasts, for example, would likely never be taken down.

Hezbollah using servers in the Peoples' Republic of Austin?

No surprise there.

Bin Laden, Iran and Hezbollah communicating over YouTube... wow... it could happen...

Actually I think Bin Laden and his men are hiding in Iran. I don't have evidence but it would be my guess.

The traces I saw showed the netblock was owned by Broadwing in Austin - but the actual server was located in Florida or New York.

The company that has a consistent pattern of selling products to terrorists is Microsoft. They've sold server software to the Taliban, al-Qaida, Hezbollah, etc. Windows is the operating system of choice for terrorists, pedophiles, malware designers, etc.

Since this has been moved overseas it will make it harder for our intel guys to track who visits this site.

A good source of intel may have just been lost.

That's the first thing I thought of - damn, the government could have gotten the proper warrants and then just watched the traffic for this site.

Well, separating the chaff from the wheat would be quite a job in this case. Investigating every visit - heck, if you investigated every visit to my tiny website, that's still four thousand unique visitors per day.

Honestly, tracking visitors is a horrible way of conducting intel. Anyone with slight brains knows they can scramble their MAC address (heck, USRobotics cards do it automatically, the pains they are), hit a website through an open wireless port, and you've got yourself another dead end. Hitting up the heavy visitors and you're most likely to find a DUmmie in someone's attic.

Isolating these guys, keeping them from being seen as anything other than the propaganda arm they are, is probably the best choice.
