NEW YORK Three news agencies on Tuesday rejected challenges to the veracity of photographs of bodies taken in the aftermath of an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon, strongly denying that the images were staged.
Photographers from The Associated Press, Reuters and Agence France-Presse all covered rescue operations Sunday in Qana, where 56 Lebanese were killed. Many of their photos depicted rescue workers carrying dead children.
A British Web site, the EU Referendum blog, built an argument that chicanery may have been involved by citing time stamps that went with captions of the photographs. .........
The site suggests these events were staged for effect, a criticism echoed by talk show host Rush Limbaugh when he directed listeners to the blog on Monday.
Still holding onto the 56 number too. Their credibility is zero.
It was staged and they got caught, period!
But the ICRC says only 28 were killed.
They are not even on the same page.

Still holding onto the 56 number too. Their credibility is zero.

That's exactly what jumped out at me too! These people are shameless.
The A/P did nothing wrong, says the A/P according to an A/P official that spoke off the record and anonymous.
Welcome to FR.
There was one poor dead boy that looked like he got carried around like a purse for eight hours by "green helmet guy".
what is your proof?
They are shocked that questions are even being asked of how they went about their work in a Hezzbully controlled environment.
As if.
They come up with all sorts of things that might have happened regarding the time stamps but they never actually tell us what actually happened. So much like the rest of their reporting.
Clinton "didn't have sex" with "that woman" either.....
Great to be here. This qana(memo)gate story was disected here. Great place
Liars.
The news organizations' own photos show this. Rather than complaining, they should come up with a rational explanation why an "aid worker" would, in the midst of a recovery operation in a warzone, stop to change outfits one or more times while carrying a body a few yards on a stretcher.
Just as it was CBS' responsibility to come up with a rational explanation as to why a secretary at a TX national guard facility would have a magical typewriter that composed text in proportionate-spaced font.
But again, their stance seems to be that their word alone should suffice as a guarantee of authenticity.
We're past that stage of gullibility.
In usual fashion, the leftist MSM continue TO LIE. They are despicable, anti-American reprobates.
They need to clean up their own house.
>>The A/P did nothing wrong, says the A/P according to an A/P official that spoke off the record and anonymous.<<
Maybe the AP should investigate. ;)

>>what is your proof?<<
Part of the proof is that they are still using the wrong number. The story has no credibility.
Did you see the video on EUreferendum of the "rescue worker" dropping the stretcher in order to adjust his helmet?
I know nothing about how the time on a digital photo time stamp is determined. Is it possible that the time is set at the time of day in the loction the camera is first used? If I take my little Fuji to Europe, will it think it is still on New Jersey time?
To be sure we are accurate in our accusations (and, of course, I wouldn't put it past them) we do need answers to questions like this. Going off half-cocked without all the facts loses us credibility.
I think we should point out their stupidity. Then, they may actually try to educate themselves. Mocking their intelligence may have a more positive result.
For example, these reporters were too stupid to see they were being set up. How can anyone so stupid be taken seriously?
"where 56 Lebanese were killed"
#1, there wasn't 56 killed.
#2, the time and date stamps from pictures of the same girl are different.
#3, the AP photographer was given a direct call from another terrorist supporting photographer.
I know little on the technical side also but do think the time stamps are a clue that will help brings this down.
Time Stamp + Green Helmet Guy + MSM coverage + Hezzbollah = scam
Then the massive banner hoisted up leas down another road.
LOL, the green helmet guy.
Green Helmet Guy has been photgraphed at numerous bombing sites over the years to dupe willing journalists.
In islamic circles, this is known as "accessorizing."
The only thing that's surprising about all this is how blantant it is.
Remember, it may not be "hours" - I still haven't changed my own digital camera back to Eastern Daylight Time from Moscow time, and I've been home a month, so if you compared my photos to those of another photographer you'd see an 8-hour discrepancy.
Most of those reporters are probably incapable of resetting the clocks in their cameras, too, or doing much more than pushing the shutter release button.
We need to see the EXIF data for all photos from each individual photographer's camera, rather than comparing clocks on many different cameras, to get a realistic timeline.
It remains to be seen whether the AP wants to get to the truth, or cover it up by witholding that EXIF data.
We need to be careful to be credible.
The event is what was staged. The photogs were gullible; there's not solid evidence that they staged their picts.
No blood, evidence of rigor mortis (too soon), very odd ratio of male:female adults and too many children. Staged event. Let's go after that.
Methinks the drive-by media doth protest too much.
We all know they support terrorists.
I've given up on most American coverage of this war. I've been going to jpost.com.
Interesting dark areas on arm.
No blood, no abrasion, strange color.
Odd, that.
In all the pictures there are only 3 distinct different children, shown over and over again.
Indeed.
Livor mortis when blood stops circulating it pools in the parts of the body that are lowest to the ground--force of gravity.
The gray-faced "blue sussy" dead baby that was being paraded around by Green Helmet Guy looked far more decomposed than the others.
I'm ready to accept the official count of 19 pending other info. The ratios are what's off.
Where are the wounded? Are there any reports on those
From Post #25: #2, the time and date stamps from pictures of the same girl are different
Lets say I took a trip to Europe with my husband and several photographers from different time zones and some of us reset our timers and some of us did not.
Lets say we all took a several different pictures of my husband wearing the same clothes, but at different times. It would not matter what times our different cameras showed or why.
It would still be my husband in Europe, wearing the same clothes at different times. That's how I see this. It was still the same dead child, in different settings at different times..that in and of itself is suspicious.
Me thinks they doth protesteth too much.
ABSOLUTELY!
They conveniently ignore the identity of the man who appeared in all the staged pictures, "Green Helmet" who, a number suggest, is Abu Shadi Jradi
http://www.eureferendum.blogspot.com/
or Abdel Qader

I'd really like to know who this man is.
I found a video of Green Helmet guy from 1996.
Be warned it is very graphic. Green Helmet guy is hold a decapitated infant in his hands.

I MAY have a match for Green Helmet Guy!!
Check out this photo of former Fatah commander in Sidon, Brigadier Taha Mohammed Abdel-Qader (known as Khaled Aref). The picture puts him at 37 in 1999...
Add 7 years, some dirt and stubble...
It would go a long way to explaining why he was considered "In Charge", and wearing body armour, at the site, as well
http://www.meib.org/articles/9912_l4.htm
He was arrested and tried for the murder of a prominent Lebanese, then released several years ago...
Could THIS be the guy???
As yet another body was removed from the wreckage yesterday morning, Naim Raqa, the head of the civil defence team searching the ruins, hung his head in grief: "When they found them, they were all huddled together at the back of the room ... Poor things, they thought the walls would protect them."
"Where is the humanity? Why are these massacres being committed against civilians? asked Naim Raqa, the head of the Lebanese civil defence unit in nearby Jawaya, who was helping the rescue.
Naim Raqa, head of civil defense in the nearby town of Jouaya, sat on a pile of rubble, his black uniform covered in a fine concrete powder.
"I was in Qana in '96," the exhausted rescue worker said. "Israel, when it is weakened, commits bigger massacres.
"We were told about this massacre -- I don't know what time it was. We couldn't move at night, even in ambulances, because of the shelling. They should allow us to move so we can work."
He wiped beads of sweat from his brow.
"They were still asleep, hiding. They were all near the walls, huddled in fear. We found many of them like this," he said, drawing his knees and elbows into his chest in a fetal-like position. "The poor things thought the walls would protect them. I had the honor of removing about 15 of them."
His break was interrupted by a colleague calling for stretchers as the bodies of two more young boys were removed, their tiny pajama shorts and T-shirts covered in soil and dust.
Raqa didn't wait for the stretchers to arrive. He scooped up one child; a bystander carried the other.
If one doesn't change the date and time stamp from time zone to time zone then the time differential would be the same minutes but not the same hours.
